Yep...next weekend after db gets back from deployment we will be picking up our NEW puppy from the airport!!! We are soooooooooooooo excited.... She's a Great Dane...black...her name is Caly! She's the cutest thing ever! :) (Yea, I'm partial haha)

Anyone else have Great Danes....or any advice?? New mommy here!! LOL

Congrats!! We've been dane owners for 10 yrs. We have one black 3yro female and a 13 wk(tom) harlequin male.

Can't wait to see pics. Get ready for the puppy biting!!!:D

I don't have a Dane, but I used to work at a self-service grooming place and I got to know a few. They are such cool dogs. Now we also have a new neighbor who has a black and white one. He looks like a freakin' pony! DH and I laugh because when we see them walking, it looks like the owner is leading a horse instead of walking a dog.

Congrats on your new "baby." You definitely need to post pics.

Jen, did you get her on puppyfind? We found a reputable breeder thru that site. My female looked similar as a pup. However we only knew what she looked like thru pics,b/c we didn't get her till she was 11mo.

I actually found her just searching the web....www.lexysdanes.com up in NY had just what we wanted and would be shipped at the exact time we wanted to get one, so it worked out perfectly....OH and big plus...they give a nice 15% military discount!

Wow! Small world!! We got our black one(adult) from her. Her name is Barb. They only live about 20 minutes from us. I didn't even know they shipped. The black and white ones are called Harlequins. They are my favs

Yep...that's her!! She's been awesome! They do ship...the only problem she just told me about yesterday bc she's scheduled to fly to us Sat. is that if the temp in route is over 85 then they can't ship her!! I'm for real stressing now!!! I've so got my heart set! :( Too funny though that you got your's from there too! It definitely is a small world.

Bummer, I didn't know that. I wonder if that's every Airlines policy. We are only getting to the 60's here on saturday, so I doubt from here to ohio it will get higher than 85.

Congrats I have three male Great danes. One fawn and two mantles. my youngest is 9 months old. he is a hand full. my other two are 4 and 2

Well, we are in South Georgia :D but the high is suppose to be 84...cloudy though so I'm hoping we'll be ok...and she should fly in that morning so by then it definitely shouldnt even be 84. I figure that if it's only going to be 84 here then the route here shouldn't get any higher. Ughhhhh this is just my thinking though. Oh, and yea, it's airlines policies :(
