I'm new here so I wanted to introduce myself. From what I've read so far you all seem really wonderful and supportive of each other. My fiancee is just starting his second deployment in two years, and I know I could use more support this time around from people who actually understand what it is like. I've never had any friends who have a significant other in the military, and as I'm sure you all know, those who haven't experienced it just don't quite understand how to help (no matter how well-intentioned they may be!)

P.S. Is anyone else's SO on the Dubuque based out of San Diego? I've seen a few posts from others on the Peleliu that left with the same battle group a few days ago, so I was just wondering!
