I'm really having a tough time these past two days with not having much contact with db...
Sometimes I just feel so alone!!! Yesterday I was doing pretty bad and people that I could really use the support of seem to avoid me or even tell me to suck it up!!! Sometimes I just wish they would have to go through what we have to and then maybe they would act a little differently.
These are the times that I really need my db to talk to but thats not possible... I just feel so alone like I have to bottle up all my feelings around the people that I thought would be there for me. :depressed

Agreed with everyone. You have to come HERE for support. I have the same problem with friends that are in civilian relationships. My advice is to type out your problems here, treat yourself to some shopping, and write to your boyfriend.

One thing you will have to learn is that if these people have not been through what you go through, then how can you possibly expect them to understand? Sometimes I find solace in the fact that a lot of my friends haven't been through this because then I can escape the fact that my husband is gone all the effing time. It's hard for others to understand something that is completely oputside of their frame of reference. That's why we are here. Because each woman on this forum understands what it is like to say good bye, be it for a 2 week training or a 15 month deployment. So come here and let it out. We'll understand. :hugs

It's sad but true. Just like it's hard to understand what it's like to go through a divorce or a death in the family or even a happy thing like a pregnancy if you've never been there yourself. But this site is a LIFESAVER because everyone does understand so well. THANKS GIRLS!!! :D

People who have never been through it tend to make it worse. They don't know what to say and end up saying the wrong things when they try and offer their thoughts up.
I'm really glad I found this site. Everyone here is really nice, and very understanding.
