Anyone else diving into a long-wanted home Improvement project for mother's day?

I WANT a deck and a freaking back door! I've wanted it for years...
Thanks to Bush and his stimulus package we were able to buy all the needed materials to get what I want!

Of course, I'm not the only one who wants it. :lol
Hubby's doing it, too.

It took 8 hours - but we knocked out the outside wall (removed the laundryroom wall, too - for future kitchen expansion) and there you go!

What we've been looking at for years. Puke! And what the form owners looked at for years. LOL

The gutted wall and a pic of brick removal progress - we were going to cut the bricks but that was taking too long. Chiseling it by hand was far faster.

Now for the deck!! A work in progress for I don't know how long - supplies will be delivered today O0

YES YES YES!!! I wanted dH to finish 2 projects for me today I even told him I'd help him just as long as they woudl get done but nothig so far..grrr I just want the rest of my blinds put up and the exhaust fans replaced we have all the tools and everything he just won't get off his lazy butt and do it for me HE** it's my day!
