View Full Version : Bad Day
JenniferLee 05-11-2008, 07:08 PM I'm just having a hard time today. It seems like lately this deployment has been really hard on me. I just miss him so much and I feel so lonely. I see all these happy couples around me and it just reminds me how I can't be with him right now. I know with time this is supposed to get easier, but for me it just seems like it's not. Some days are harder than others but they are still hard!
I just needed to vent! I need a hug!
LoveKiss 05-11-2008, 07:15 PM :hugs :hugs :hugs You will find your groove eventually. Just hang in there. And I know what you mean about seeing couples. I was in line at Banana Republic yesterday and there was a cute and cuddly couple behind me. Tears welled up in my eyes because I missed DB so badly in that moment. Cute couples suck. :giggle
Fidzy 05-11-2008, 07:17 PM lots of :hugs for you.

Thanks! Yeah I am hanging in there it is just so hard sometimes and I feel like none of my friends understand and even if they want to be there for me they just don't know how to. Yeah I hate cute couples! Well actually all couples make me jealous. Even when I see ones that are arguing I think "wow they are lucky to be able to be with each other!" :mumble

Thank you! I'm so glad I found this website! I feel a lot better now that I have a place (even if it's online) where I go and vent and talk to people that are there/have been there/or will be there. I appreciate all the kindness!
JenniferLee 05-11-2008, 07:48 PM lots of hugs for you :bigsadhug
Thank you!
carolina76 05-11-2008, 07:49 PM :hugehug. You are totally allowed to have those days...the thing that I try to remember when I am in a funk is that tomorrow is a new day, and one step closer to this crapy deployment being over.;)
BrittanyJo 05-11-2008, 07:50 PM :hugs we all have those days. Sometimes it feels impossible but during those times remember that time is on your side!

Thanks! Yeah I know if I can get through these next couple weeks it will be half over and hopefully that will make it easier! I swear time has decided to start going by slower ever since he left!
browneyedbeauty 05-11-2008, 07:55 PM If everyone could do it, there wouldn't be servicemembers whose mates leave them. You're doing a difficult and special job.
Hang in there.

I find too that working out helps, I am usually too exhausted when I get home to do anything but go to bed. Hang in there Girlie.

navyiatorgirl 05-11-2008, 08:27 PM :hugs :hugs :hugs I completely sympathize with you. My ombudsman wrote me something that really helped me: "Each day that passes brings him one day closer to coming home." Type that up and tape it up everywhere - it helps. :hugs We're here for you.

Yeah I've got to keep reminding myself that!

Yeah that is a good point. I never thought about it like that. I know I can do it I just need to remind myself that it was never meant to be easy!

Yeah I got a health club membership right before he left, but I had to cancel it recently because I'm broke :P I know I should be working out at home or going for a jog (it's really nice out), but I just feel like I have no energy some days!

I really like that quote! I should write it down and put it in my mirror so I see it each morning! I really appreciate the advice and the support from all you girls!

Yea, seeing hubby's grilling with their wives would definitely feel like being on a diet and not being able to nibble. Most of my neighbors hubbies are deployed, or in training, then again..you're probably talking about couples in general?. I have mommy brain right now, sorry:duh

Yeah I meant couples in general! Especially civilian couples because they don't have to deal with these kinds of issues :P
