I have a hair appt. on Thursday and I decided to get it cut. I'm going to get bangs..I think and layers in my hair. (Some guy cut my hair like a mullet when I was 15, and I have been trying to grow it out ever since). Anyway, I need to spicen up the color, but I'm so nervous about damaging it because it's been through hell and back with highlights, straightening & blowdrying etc.

What to guys think about a glaze? Can anyone give me more info on what exactly it is? I had my hair really really dark and it's starting to grow out but I'm really nervous about getting it dyed again.

:thanks

i use glaze whenever i lighten my hair because it tends to turn brassy if i don't. i use the john frieda glaze. it adds tint to your hair so you will want to use a dark towel afterward...just in case you didn't wash it all out. but you just put it on your hair after you shampoo and condition..leave it on for about 3 min. and then wash it out. i love it.

Ask your stylist about a gloss. It seals the hair shaft, making it MUCH shinier and soft.

I don't like the John Frieda stuff, personally, because it weighs my hair down...but if you have thick hair, it may be an option for you.
