Hi! My name is Meg and my DF is Peter. I go to school in Towson MD, although all of my family is in New Jersey, and Peter is currently in Iraq on his first deployment. He's based in Lejuene so even when he was here he was always a 7 and a half hour or 10 and a half car ride away :( Anyways none of my friends here have any idea or understand what it's like to have someone deployed so it's really hard. We have no wedding plans yet because we got engaged in March and he left only 3 weeks after that, and it's pretty impossible to figure anything out with him and the short phone calls. I'm so happy I can finally meet people who know what I'm going through!

Hi! I'm a Baltimore girl too- graduated from Towson actually. I live in Hunt Valley right now but my boyfriend (graduating from USNA this month) is headed to dive school in FL for three months, then off to Charleston for up to a year. We're talking about my moving to Charleston with him.
I haven't experienced the deployment yet but don't have any other friends (besides his roommates' girlfriends who i can't really talk to) so it's nice to know other people in the area!!
