I am beyond THRILLED! :happydance It will have been 6-8 months by the time I get to see him again. In 16 months time we have been together 60 days. Another 30 will be such a blessing!

What is OTEIP?

OTEIP stands for Overseas Tour Extension Incentive Program. Because he didn't reduce his tour to 2 years because of having dependents and staying there (Japan) unaccompanied he had the option to request OTEIP.

Because he met the qualifications for this program he had to select between 4options.

The following options are available: (He selected option B)

(1) Option A -- $80 per month special pay for each month during the period of the extension.

(2) Option B -- 30 days rest and recuperation (R&R) absence during the period of extension.

(3) Option C -- 15 days R&R absence plus round trip transportation at government expense from the location of the extended tour of duty to the port of debarkation in continental United States (CONUS) and return during the period of extension.

(4) Option D -- $2,000 lump sum payment on the first day of the 12-month extension.

I have been crazy busy! Between Weston and the horses and trying to do a massive Spring cleaning I haven't had much time for SOS. I am loading photos to do a Weston update. :)

My DS was born on the 5th of January, DH left on the 10th of January. So really close. The tickers sometimes are a little bit off. :dunno
