I have a large Vera Bradley duffle bag, and I was wondering if it would be okay to check it? Would it really get all that dirty? I mean I could wash it.

I was just going to give it a blue tag at the gate, but I don't think I'll be able to get past security with some of my hair products and my bottle of perfume.

If you can wash it, then I say go for it.

I don't think I would check it. Sometimes my luggage comes out looking perfect, other times you can tell it's been handled rough. Have you already washed it before? If you have, then I'd say go for it. But I washed one of my purses and it faded really bad.

:agree If it's something that is of obvious value, be cautious. They just had a report on the news today about checked baggage that conveniently ended up "lost" because there was something of high value in them.

I'm not taking my Vera. Instead I'll take my dad's big luggage bag.....

i say don't do it but that's just me. i had a brand new suitcase and when it arrived at the destination, it was ripped like something sharp gashed through it and the bottom wire of it was sticking out. samsonite at that! i would def. not put my vera through there. lol.

I would NOT check it! I bought the vera luggage, but only carryon. Every suitcase I ever check gets tore up.

i would say sure if it was one of their luggage pieces. A duffel bag or larger bag? Heck no. I love Vera Bradley, and have a TON of pieces, and never would check a duffel...just the luggage. my policy is: only buy it if you are gonna use it...lol:laugh
