I didn't know what to put this under, but let's be honest...in the end it is about the love shack.

Once my SO gets stationed out of basic, I am moving next to his post. I understand that they cannot move out of the barracks until they reach a certain rank, but does anyone know if they get to leave for weekends or when they don't have training? I'm sure it's probably not encouraged to go sleep at their girlfriends house and everything, but do they do it anyways?

if he is in school/training then most of the time they are aloud out on the weekends and in the evenings after work. It all kinda depends on what they have going on. I know when my hubby was in MOS school and i went out to visit him that they didnt care that he stayed in the hotel with me, just as long as he made it to work on time in the morning.

I do know for sure though that as soon as they are done with school/training that they pretty much get free roam as long as they done f' up

When he's in A school he's normally good for the weekends. Once he's out of school, most barracks don't care as long as the room passes inspection and homie shows up for work on time.

i agree w/ the other ladies. everytime my so goes to school at the gap, which is near my house he says with me every night as long as he shows to work they don't care

If Army is anything like Navy, they'll go through phases in MOS training. They'll go from not being able to go off base at all to being able to be off base overnight. It takes a couple weeks, but the privileges can be revoked... so if it's anything like the navy, he'll be able to see you on weekends after after school :)

my husband wasnt able to stay off base for the night until he got to a certian phase, then he could sign out for the weekend, but they can put them on "lockdown"(meaning they cant sign out for the weekend) over anything. My dh got put on lockdown because his roomie didnt make his bed, and also once when the masters golf tourny came into GA so its not a sure thing that he may be able to come out every weekend
