Did you get an album with your wedding photography package?

If so, do you look at your album a lot? Are you glad you got one? Was it worth the extra money?

If not, do you wish you had gotten one? Did you make your own scrapbook? Did you get an album done by someone else at a later date?

Thanks.

PLEASE SEE MY POST BELOW ABOUT MY IDEA OF HOW I MIGHT DO MY WEDDING ALBUM!! OPINIONS OR RECOMMENDATIONS NEEDED!

We purchased out wedding album. it's a11x16 magazine style, almost 70 pages I think. I love it. It sits on our coffee table and I look at it frequently. I am also in the process of scrapping the pics myself to get everything I want added onthere

I'll take a picture and show you what I got, it was magnificent and pretty much free because it was a family friend.also worth it! totally love it and keep it on the coffee table, all the pictures also came digitally as high-ass resolution. its like 50 pages, in a bound book.

Okay so I am going through a divorce and even though I regret getting married so fast I still am glad I did get a wedding album that my photographer included because I can always pass it on to my daughters. So YES get it believe me you will flip through it so many times during your first year of marriage.

I got the album. The first few years I looked at it all the time, so did my company who came off. Now, I look at it here and there. I am glad I got mine but then again mine was free.

I didn't, but then again I got about 500 photos (all regular photo size, plus about 70 favs in different sizes), all photos onto CD, 3 copies of our DVD slideshow and 3 copies of the wedding video for only $260. I thought that was excelent, I didn't worry about a album.

Did you get an album with your wedding photography package? Yes, it was a free gift from the photographer.

If so, do you look at your album a lot? Are you glad you got one? Was it worth the extra money? I look at it pretty often actually. I am thrilled that I got one, and I didn't pay extra for it, but I would have.

If not, do you wish you had gotten one? Did you make your own scrapbook? Did you get an album done by someone else at a later date? I didn't make a scrapbook, but my aunt did make me one for Christmas afterwards.

yes, i LOVE my album and very glad we got it. even if i don't look at it all the time, i love having it. it was a package deal but i think albums can run around $500 depending on the size. ours is leather & digital.

I found a photographer who offered us this package:

2 photographers (1 male, 1 female)
Full day coverage
DVD with all the digital negatives

For only a $100 deposit because we are military!!! Her work is really good and her business is recommended by theknot.com. So I'm thinking about doing that to save money. I'll then print out all the pictures that I want in various sizes and then also go and make a digital wedding album on either mypublisher.com or on one of the photo storage place pages.

Do you think that's a good idea?!?!?!!?

shutterfly and photobucket and a few other places offer great "do it yourself" books... i can recommend a few vendors if you want to make books on your own.
