Yes, I know this is probably a crazy thing for people to hear on this board, but my MIL rocks. We've been working on extending our back deck for 2 weeks now. She came over both weekends to take DD so we could get more work done together. She takes DD one day a week for me, they even cook breakfast for me when I drop her off!

And to boot, she bought me the most amazing bracelet for Mother's Day! It's one of those Chamilia Italian Charm bracelets. She got 3 beautiful beads on it (including a gorgeous Murano glass one) and gave me a $60 gift certificate to get a few more! Seriously, she spent a fortune on this. I've really loved her one since she started it a year or so ago, but I never thought I'd have one of my own. Now I'm addicted to collecting them and building my bracelet. Thank goodness eBay has a lot of them. I can't afford $20-50 per bead!

But I just wanted to say "yey!" to my MIL. I know some people have issues with theirs (heck we've had our fair share), but I think it's wonderful that she wants to help out, and also gave me such a thoughtful gift.

Absolutely! I'll have to show you this bracelet sometime. It's gorgeous and sooo "me" the three charms she got were 1. purple swirly murano glass (purple is my favorite color and she knows that), 2. a sterling silver bead with paw prints on it (for Chester of course), and 3. a rose which looks just like the Yorkshire rose which is the symbol of the region I came from in England. How thoughtful!! The two I've added are one sterling silver butterfly (because it's Rowan's favorite "animal" and I love how she says it) and a thinner bead with baby pink taurmaline (I'm sure I can't spell that) all the way around it (again for Rowan). There are a few more I have my eye on, but this is a good start!

Where do you get your beads if you don't mind me asking. They do seem to be pretty expensive.

Also, where in WA are you? We're on Whidbey :)

I'm so glad, honey! That rocks. What a great gift for a great mom! (How's Rowan? Talking up a storm? I miss you all!)

She's growing like a weed and talking up a storm. She will be 2 on Sunday!! I can hardly believe it. She's doing really well, sleeping in her toddler bed, enjoying school, etc. I love it! It's not been easy getting work done, but that's because I want to spend all my time with her going out and doing things!

Are you planning a trip up this way anytime soon? You know you're always welcome!
