Well I'm finally here! It's so different from visiting. I feel awkwardly out of place and stuff, but I'm sure it will get better as soon as I start traveling. I love the country aspect of where he is, but it makes it hard to get around with no car, so we're hopefully moving in about a month to another town... Wish me luck!

Good luck! I asked you in your photos thread where youare staying right now but I'll ask here too! I finally made it to Wiesbaden thankfully. No car for me either and we're not walking distance to anything but more houses. :sigh

It's gorgeous though!

Yay! How far is Spangdahlem from Ramstein? We've only been here about 2 weeks.

My best friend from here in San Antonio, just moved to Spangdahlem in March. I lives on Spangdahlem in housing. I believe her husband is a First Shirt there but have no idea with what unit. I think she told me that Spangdahlem is about 2 or so hours from Ramstein.

hi everyone...question about moving to germany. My DF is stationed at vogelweh and we're getting married in january and as soon as i can move over i am, but what legal stuff do we need to do to help me get over there faster? he might be deployed and doesn't know if he can send in the paper work while he is deployed, is there something we can do like get a Power of Attorney or anything? what do you guys recommend?

We got married JOP before our "wedding" it made it all pretty easy. But he can do the paperwork anywhere, even deployed for the most part. Once your married you'll definitely want a POA.

And yep, I'm back in Tampa until Dec 20, staying until Jan 7... then we PCS Feb 1 to Italy!!!

How exciting I really miss being in Germany! Where are you stationed there? You should check into getting a hoopti! My husband had a 1987 vw golf and he was sad for it to go when we left! Let me know if have any questions about places to see or things like that!
