Okay this is silly but a big OOPS on my part..

So after my baby shower and everything there were only like 5 things left on my baby registry - diapers, pack n play sheets, the pack n play, and the bigger carseat ((The pack and play only beacuse it keeps being out of stock and DHs mom is having trouble buying it))

Well we got some multiples, and things like that.. so i returned some things (an infant positioner, because my stepmom gave me one, a double headrest for the carseat because my stepmom gave me that too, and some sheets because I had already bought quite a few )

well, today i got on the registry to see if the pack n play was available online today and someone bought all the stuff I had returned... i forgot it went back on the registry but i never even thought about it because i dont know who else would have bought anything :shrug

I feel bad :( ...

MIL wants to get me the one I want -- its the Graco Deco collection .. but its constantly unavailable i guess because its new :shrug IDK .. but everytime its available online I call her but by the time she goes to order it its not available anymore... So im just gonna have to get a different one because I dont want baby to come without having it set up LOL

Why doesn't she send you the money and you go buy it at babies r us? That's the playpen Tony and I just bought :D It's always unavailable online but they had plenty here at our local BRU.

I'd return it and then go online to your registry and remove it. That way you don't have to worry about someone else buying it again. Just make sure to send thema Thank You note before you do it and make sure you don't tell them that you returned it, haha. I made that mistake once, well telling them I had to exchange it for another size and they got so upset...Don't know why, but whatever.

I put it all together to make sure nothing was broken before we tossed the box. the playpen itself is a lot better than our old Graco was. The basinette part is so different than I'm used to, but it's pretty nice once you get it together :)

Same here :lol My mom bought some small stuff (like bibs and sheets) and that was it. When I bought all the other big stuff we need I removed it from the registry, it was pretty much a list for us as well. I still have other stuff I need that I'll pick up as we can.

Even though this is our first I know my family wont get us jack shit b/c they only care about themselves... sad to say. (my aunts, uncles, and cousins) Tommy rarely ever hears from his grandparents, aunts, uncles or cousin so I doubt theyd buy anything. I dont have many friends either. My mom already got us everything they can, they dont have much money so they did the best they could. The inlaws bought us every piece of furniture possible lol and the mattress. We will just end up sticking to buying the bare minimum that we NEED and not the stuff I want, which is fine with me too.

My mom is the only one who's ever gotten anything for any of the kids. NO ONE else in my family has ever gotten anything. Not even Tony's parents send anything for the baby... not even an outfit. nothing.

I just went up and looked at it, 2 of the walls dont have wallpaper anymore. YAY! The yellow paint that was under the wallpaper is nauseating. He just told me that he wants to put new carpet in the room too. I dont think the people who lived here before us EVER vacuumed or steamed the carpets. All around the walls is like black from YEARS of dust and dirt. I'm sure it will come out with a couple of steam cleaning sessions but whatever.
