we are on a break with the ST until June now because our ST's left Blake Foundation and his new ST won't be able to start with him until June. I am PISSED as hell that she didn't let me know the last time she saw Jacob.

i hate when doctors do that.... it's freaking common courtesy!! i hope you like his new ST.

ST is helping him a ton he went from non-verbal at 18 months to now a couple days shy of 24 months using about 10 words consistently.

Have you met his new therapist yet? Has Jake met him/her? Did the old one at least give you some exercises to do with him at home until June?

I hate it when that happens! Any delay in therapy is extremely frustrating, and it was really unprofessional of her to not tell you. Anytime we have to switch therapists, the old one has told us, and even introduced us to the new one. I hope that you like the new therapist.

No I won't meet the new therapist until June, I am assuming it will be a woman because everyone from his caseworker to the DEV PED is/has been a woman LOL. It could be a man though. We do baby signs with him although I am wanting to make the switch to ASL. He also has a crazy straw and has to drink 2 oz of water through it a day. Other then that NADA. I will get some ideas of things to work on him with from Donna his case worker though.

I would not be angry had I been given SOME notice on the situation she met with him week before last and didn't tell me anything about it. He should of met with her again this week. (he see's her every other week and his case work comes to him on the odd weeks so that he gets ST at least once a week. Not enough ST's to go around even though he needs it once a week.)

I hope Jacob likes the new ST, he didn't take to the OT that well but it was his first time last week hopefully this week is better.
