1. What do you think should be included in every good wardrobe? The most important pieces? The classics a good pair of jeans a little black dress a good pair of dress pants that can be worn in different situations and a good coat in a color

2. When cleaning out your closet, how do you decide what to ditch? How often do you throw stuff out? I never keep anything that doesn't fit. I will never be as tiny as I once was so why keep reminders kwim?

3. How is your closet organized? By color, products, designers, type? Shoes are by type...peep toes round toe ect then within type by color. My closet is by season then by color within the season...I'm kind of a nerd

Ummm thats a toughie I have a few dresses I LOVE and some shoes I love but I guess if I had to pick I would say my coat I am in love with it

I dress for DBs R&R homecoming

Buy pieces that will never go out of style. Do trendy pieces in accessories not staples.

Pencil skirt
Dark rinse jeans in two styles
Lighter rinse jeans in two styles
camis in every color
a killer jacket
a good, solid pair of black heels-comfy and timeless. Leather is best for durability but some of the vegan options aren't so bad.
LBD. Must have. Though, I think white is the new black.

I hang all my stuff with the hanger hooks facing in. Each time I put away laundry, I hang them out. At the end of six months anything with an inward hanger hook is donated to charity.

Type. I have tanks, then tees, then knits, etc. Each group is organized by color, too, though.

I'm versatile.

Oh goodness, I don't know.. that's why I made this thread... A good pair of jeans is pretty essential for ME though!

I decide what to ditch based on what doesn't fit anymore, and what I don't wear anymore... and what is worn out beyond repair

right now It is organized by type and color within that type... I'm simple... tshirts with tshirts, etc :)

1. What do you think should be included in every good wardrobe? The most important pieces? A nice pair of jeans. A nice pair of khakis, or dress pants. Cami's and Tanks in a variety of colors, along with layers to go on top. Whether they be sweaters, or nice jackets. A nice dress, or skirt and top combo that works well for dressing up. And, lastly, a comfortable pair of shoes.

Once a year I donate everything I have not worn in that year, to charity.

Outdoorsy, casual.

My grey, wool, half sweater. It's comfortable, and I get tons of compliments on it.

Nothing that I want in particular. I have everything that I need. But, I am no fashionista, nor do I care about name brands, or really showy pieces. I love things that can go the distance, and are classic enough to not be considered "out of style" when fads pass. :)

I typically will try to add new colors to my wardrobe once in a while. I tend to stick to natural colors, and sometimes a nice POP of color does me a world of good.

I love Loretta's idea with the hangers! I must try that!

A matching pant suit, at least 3 good pairs of jeans (1 fat pair), 3-4 button down shirts (2 casual, 2 dressy), a LBD & a fun dress (one good for a family barbeque or get together), a variety of pique polos, black, grey & white cardigans, and a good pair of Khaki's.

I throw away anything that looks faded, or is falling apart. A lot of stuff that I've NEVER worn or never plan to wear.

Buy clothes that you can wear with just about anything. Don't buy a shirt that you can only wear with one color of pants.
Also, it's ok to be uncomfortable if it makes you feel BEAUTIFUL!!

1. What do you think should be included in every good wardrobe? The most important pieces? A really good pair of jeans, some nice business slacks - i.e. pinstripe black. Good khaki pants. 2-3 good skirts that you can mix and match.
A good sweater - i.e. soft cardigan
A good jacket that you can wear with the slacks.
A really good white blouse.
Pumps, low heel, in a red or black that you can wear with the slacks.
For me most of the above is all timeless and doesn't date. Not to mention you can update with new blouses, etc.

How long has it been since I have worn it.
If at first glance I tell myself - What was I thinking?
Do I really think I will fit in a size 5 ever again in my lifetime?

I have all slacks, jeans, etc together
All blouses together
All sweaters together.
I organize by season and circulate the current season to the easiest to reach areas.
