Is any one else using or thinking of useing or has used the Bradley method for labor?

Kenny and I are. Im excited about it, my Mum used it with me and said it was awesome....you know as far as labor goes

DH was not at ds born but he will be here for this one. I plan on using the Bradley Method as well. We wont be able to attend any classes (dh travels too much for his job) so I am sure we will just buy the book.

We are getting the books as well. we cant afford the classes and Kenny's schedual dosent allow him to come with :lame

I use the epidural method:giggle But would you care to give me a crash course in what it is cause I hear people talking about it a lot and I never pay attention:D

Its a form of natural childbirth. It doesnt make it hurt any less but it helps you understand whats going on at each stage of labor and why it hurts. It also helps with pain managment. Its also husband coached so the husband is a very active part of the labor and birth process. It also has streaches and such.

It involves more movement of the body, birthing ball and walking. Where lamaze consist of mostly breathing, Bradley Method involves the whole body.

:teehee I was thinking the exact same thing, you just said it more tactfully than I would have.

You'd think after birthing 3 boys already, I would know this stuff.:dunno

I used it with Nora and Katie. I LOVED IT!

It was really expensive though, you're right.

i started out wanting that too. i even had it in my birth plan. but then when push came to shove (literally lol), i was like just do whatever to get the baby out! lol

It's an interesting concept and I hope it works for you ladies. For me however, movement and changing posititions can be extemely painful so I don't think it would work for me.
