Do you and your s/o have tattoos for each other? Mirror Images? names? and so forth.......

we are planning on something symbolic. no names at all.

I have DB's name on my leg- kind of. I know, I know.... But: We've been together for 5 years and he has changed my life in so many ways, one of which is encouraging me to use my art degree and start tattooing! I've always been working in social work- using my masters degree and not using my BFA. Social work has a HUGE burnout factor and he has really wanted me to do something creative.
So, I have his name in Kanji (He's Japanese)on my leg. It's part of a tattoo of a glass ocean float with some waves and a starfish...sorry no pic yet. I need to take one!
He doesn't have my name but he has my art on him. I did his tattoo of his family crest on his chest.

No.. the one I'm planning on getting is symbolic of our love for one another and our DD.. his only tattoo is a skull with fangs.. so totally not done for me, since it was WAY before we met.

i think that is just fine. to me that is symbolic.

DF is planning on putting my name on him, i'm not sure if i want to get one though. I did plan on getting one before but i'm a firm believer in the bible which speaks against it...so, i dont know yet :dunno

I have part of Shawn's middle name on my ......well above my left Breast lol... with a butterfly.. (cuz he always gives me butterflies..)..hehe

DB has "Follow Your Bliss" tattooed across his chest. He got after lyrics from his all-time favorite band.

So, when I found out he was deployed to Iraq for his 3rd time when we were just friends, I told my sister I want to get that saying tattooed as a symbol of our friendship and his sacrifices he makes by being in the military. So, my latest tattoo is just that. Now that we are together, I got it designed to have more meaning. The rose is one solid beating heart, the stem is a celtic chain representing two lives intertwining into the one heart, the thorns represent obstacles, and the words are more symbolic than ever because I truly did just follow my bliss....and this is where it led me.

DB is getting a torso piece but I won't say what it is until he gets it. Basically its going to be a representation of me and he calls me his saving grace. (Way emo...I know...but who cares). :D We prefer to call it hopelessly romantic :giggle

We kinda have symbolic tattoos. Not really because of what they are, but when we got them. We got them done together when we first started dating.

No, but never thought about that before. A symbolic mirror image is a cute idea. My dh does not have tattoos and he isn't planning on getting on, so who knows.

no, i know that he wants to get 2 tattoos but i never thought about us getting matching tattoos together. maybe if it was zodiacs signs or something like that. something that we are both into. no names.

we both have the triquatra (celtic trinity) we totally didnt do it on purpose b/c we were broken up at that point but it just so happens that we both got the same tattoo in the same month...now its just kinda a reminder to us of the other one and all we have been thru

DH has the heart with the C in the middle for my name on his chest.

I have the key with the P attached to it for his name on my ankle.

I have the key to his heart :) The pictures were taken a day after so they were still healing.

I was contemplating of getting an anchor with his initials... I don't know on that one yet... haven't completely mentally designed it yet.

Dh has my name and I have a monkey with an anchor (this is because dh is in the navy and I always call him my monkey)

I have "daddi's girl" above my "you know" and he is getting "mama's boy" on his chest. And then we planned on getting the infinity symbols with A inside one loop and F inside the other...for "ALWAYS AND FOREVER" or just always and forever above and/or below it. We dont believe in luck...good or bad.

I wouldn't get his name...I think he feels the same way.

My husband doesn't have any tattooes of me, in name or symbol.

I have my husband's first name tattooed on my ring finger and I have mirror image G's (representing our last name) tattooed below my left breast.
