View Full Version : Bra fitting at Victoria's Secret!
leftover 05-22-2008, 02:10 PM I went to VS yesterday for a fitting, and found that I have been wearing the wrong bra size by 2 CUPS!!!!! :arg I feel like such a dummy.
I saw something on Oprah a long time ago about 80% of women wearing the wrong size..
I bought a new bras, and I feel like a whole new woman! Seriously.. :yes
Has anyone else done a bra fitting? It's definitely worth the time of going in.
MelissaMc424 05-22-2008, 02:13 PM I got measured at Fredericks, and the size they suggested still doesn't fit right.. the wires don't lay against my chest like they should..
Elizabeth 05-22-2008, 02:14 PM 2 Cups like an A to a C, B to D?! Wowsers.
I need to when I go back to the States... a lot of my bras are giving me quadraboob, not cool! :lol
rosebud* 05-22-2008, 02:14 PM I do one about every year at least sometimes every 6 months. I am wearing the right bra size according to them.
HeatherNichole 05-22-2008, 02:14 PM I had a bra fitting there once and I was wearing the wrong size as well...now I won't wear any other bra...
amazinggrace 05-22-2008, 02:15 PM never had it done, but I have had fit problems before
Germanchick 05-22-2008, 02:15 PM I'm planning on doing it once I am done breastfeeding.
I get fitted every year or so. The last time I was fitted my cup size had changed by 2 sizes, so it's important to get regular fittings.
Treysgirl 05-22-2008, 02:17 PM I had one done before I got pregnant with DS and I was wearing the wrong size by one cup. I need to have another fitting.
Rain. 05-22-2008, 02:17 PM I got fitted there once and after that I have been in denial. The lady told me I was a 38E but I refuse to believe it. my DD bras fit just fine
Mrs.Highfill 05-22-2008, 02:17 PM I haven't worn a bra (I wear sports bras) since I was about a month preggo! I'm still in sports bras:no
SnarphBlat 05-22-2008, 02:18 PM I want to so bad! I wonder if they will say I need to wear a bigger cup size. :giggle
FTCWifey 05-22-2008, 02:22 PM I fit myself. In fact I did it less than 10 minutes ago! :lmao
I went bra shopping last week and because I knew I had gone up (from an A to B). Well I tried on the B's and I was popping out of the top of them but I refused to believe I was a C already! Anyway, sure enough, I am. :woot
frymommy 05-22-2008, 02:26 PM yeah definetly funny story......
I WALK IN THERE NEEDING SOMETHING TO HOLD THE GIRLS UP GOOD AND TO TUCK IN THE BACK FAT! LOL SO I GO IN THERE SAYING I NEED TO GET A 38C AND SHE WAS LIKE OK MAAM HAVE YOU BEEN SIZED BEFORE? I WAS LIKE NO BUT IM COMFORTABLE WITH WHAT I USE. SHE WHIPPED OUT HER LIL MEASURING TAPE ANYWAY AND MEASURED ME, SHE STARTED LAUGHING! I WAS LIKE WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING AT? SHE SAID MAAM YOU ARE IN DENIAL!! YOUR A 38DD! I WAS LIKE WHAT THE HELL??!! SO I DID TRY ON WHAT SHE GAVE ME AND IT FIT PRETTY NICE, I WOULD HAVE NEVER KNOWN THANKS TO THE PUSHY WHORE AT VICTORIA SECRETS! LOL
Loretta 05-22-2008, 02:27 PM I will after this baby. I have already gained three cup sizes and I'm not even 15 weeks, so I know I will have monster boobs by the time he/she/it is born:lol
I get regular fittings when I'm working, though. They measure me all over(hips, thighs, stomach, waist, butt, arms)once a week.
Debra 05-22-2008, 02:28 PM I don't like their fittings! Every time I have had it done, they all say I wear a 38B still like I did when I had my BR. Elsewhere say 38C. If I wear a 38B, half of my boobs hang out! A 38C is perfect! :dunno

Why are you yelling about it?? :puzz
torie. 05-22-2008, 02:31 PM I got fitted @ VS...the bras stretched horribly because they had me in 36Cs...
I went to Nordies once and they told me I'm a 32D. I said "D as in dog?" She said yes. I said, thank you, I will go get fitted elsewhere. I didn't believe her! I went to a different Nordies that said the same. I still didn't believe. So I went to Fredericks, they said the same...needless to say, I wear the size that 3 different places have told me I wear and I haven't had any issues for the past year. I won't go to VS again for my bras.

Quadraboob.. sounds like something that would fight with Godzilla and Mothra.
ROWR!!!
Oh no! Look! It's a bird! It's a plane! NO! IT'S QUADRABOOB!! :freakout :freakout

navywifeplus3 05-22-2008, 03:22 PM I had a bra fitting done about a year ago, but I have since lost 15 pounds so it is time to go back. I just hate bra shopping.
sailorprincess07 05-22-2008, 03:22 PM I have been measured by 4 different people and given 4 different sizes, so I have no idea. one said i was a 40 d, another said I was a 42c, another a 42dd, and another a 44c. geeze, and none of them are even the slightest bit comfy. :dunno I guess once I get to Cali I'll go somewere else, cuz these people dont know what they are talking about

I hate it too, because they are so expensive.. DH got a little hot when I told him I spent $95 on two bras. :dunno I don't think he unnerstands how expensive a good quality bra is. :shrug

Maybe once he sees them on.....and off he'll feel diffrent :teehee
oh I just had that done over the weekend. I went out Bra shopping but before we left I looked online to see how to correctly measure to see what size I was and I was coming up with 2 different things. Either a 38D or a 40C. So I still let the girl at VS size me and I am in between a 40 and 38. I was a 39. So I got mostly 40C's I did get at least one 38 D I think or maybe 2. I went to VS and to Macys. Hopefully now I am in the right size now. I was wearing a 40 D which was to big for me according to my hubby LOL
sandykay 05-22-2008, 05:15 PM I had one done a motherhood maternity and the girl didn't even do it properly. She did it over my clothes and then gave me some bras to try, they were way too big around and the cup was too small, I was spilling over the top. I just tried on a heap or bras and ended up getting the size I thought I was to begin with
fxybmx05 05-23-2008, 01:05 AM I went to Victorias Secret not that long ago and they told me as well, I have been wearing the wrong size. I thought I was an A...naww...turned out I was a B. You dont know how happy I was haha.
taraw226 05-23-2008, 12:07 PM i had one at lane bryant a year or two ago. i was wearing a 40DDD i think and they told me i'm a 38DDD. i put one on and was like "heyyyyy, THAT'S where my boobs are supposed to be!" :lmao
MissOHara 05-23-2008, 12:12 PM I've been wearing a 38 D. I'm apparently a 34 F!!!! thats 4 inches and THREE cups wrong!
But that size is impossible to find so I get 38 D anyway.
Heather 05-23-2008, 01:15 PM I was sized last summer and I was wearing the correct size. I find it strange though because I have two bras that are the same brand, style even the same color but one is a b the other a c and they fit exactly the same.
mrskmw 05-23-2008, 01:16 PM I went and had it done a few months ago and was wearing the right size but I want to go have it done again here soon because now my bras are feeling like they are fitting right.
mrskmw 05-23-2008, 01:18 PM I hate it too, because they are so expensive.. DH got a little hot when I told him I spent $95 on two bras. :dunno I don't think he unnerstands how expensive a good quality bra is. :shrug
I had the same convo with David...he just doesn't understand how they could cost so much.
michellelac 05-23-2008, 01:20 PM When we get money I am, or if my mom keeps offering to buy me one.
ilovekale 05-23-2008, 01:23 PM i wish i could even have that issue..but i'm pretty sure an A is an A. ha.
Loretta 05-23-2008, 01:27 PM i wish i could even have that issue..but i'm pretty sure an A is an A. ha.
I'm with ya:five When I'm not pregnant, I'm a 32 A, no way around it. If they made them any smaller in readily available sizes I might have a reason to wonder if it fit right:lol
Pregnancy does some scary things to the boobs, though! :wow They got so huge last time I am afraid of them now!
