DH and I discovered it late but we are so into it now. He would be fine on the show, but I would probably end up shooting myself in the foot just to get back to warmer weather.

I actually got sucked into it last night while flipping through channels after we watched 'so you think you can dance'. Then I couldn't turn it off b/c I wanted to see if they ever got to shoot the moose and goat :lol then I fell asleep at like 9:20 and missed the rest. Did they end up shooting the moose and goat?

Was the episode with the two different families having to deal with cancer last night? Or is that next week's episode?

They got the goat, but not the moose! The goat was a LOT of meat, I was surprised, they don't look that big.

You know, this occured to me last night, and I missed the first few episodes so I don't know if I missed it or waht. Anyway, when they get a goat or moose or whatever they are hunting, why can't they can it like the salmon? Instead t hey have to keep it in plastic bags outside? Did I miss something?

In the winter, it's actually better to keep it outside, because it's the same as keeping it in a deep freezer. The canned salmon isn't kept cold, but the goat and moose meat has to be cold to still be good.

Did I miss the episode where the 3 in the log cabin end up getting 2 more visitors in their house? Or is that new on Tuesday too?

If it's not new on Tuesday, why did two more people come to stay in that cabin?????? Thanks! I need to get caught up!

DH and I watched this the other night.. Really really strange.. :screwy We had a long convo about it..

A guided hunt in Alaska, rustic living, it seemed like a vacation to us. :shrug

I suppose it would be the same as sticking him and I in New York City, and telling us to survive there by finding a job and taking the subway to work.. :freakout We'd die, or go insane...

I have dvr'd it but thus far haven't watched. :lol I need to get off SOS and watch more television! :rofl

I agree with Lefty, though. If it's true that the hunting is guided and they have a cabin and stuff provided...isn't that called a vacation? :lol How spoiled are these people?!

Now I HAVE to watch.

I do to a point. I mean yes are people behind the cameras ready to intervene if things get to hairy. But in the same respect at least some of these people are doing this with the mindset to learn with the mindset what would I do..kwim. The father and his 2 annoying horrible daughters are in it for god knows what. I'm sure he probably thought it'd be a good bonding with his spoiled asshole daughters. But I'm doubting that will happen. I've never shot a gun I've never had to ration food. I would love to do something like that. It all depends on the mindset of the people doing it...kwim.

Oh good... I thought we were just weird...

I LOVED watching that computer nerd shoot the .338 Winnie and have it fly back in his face...You'd think that the guides would tell them to plant the butt hard on their shoulder before pulling the trigger. :rofl

Reminds me of the first time my cousin went duck hunting. He had his feet together and the kick of the shotgun knocked him right outta the boat.. :rofl Too funny

I suppose it's a good demonstration of how diverse we all are..

LOL! That's what DH and I said too!! I don't like snow so I wouldn't do well up there, but survival instince would kick in and we would be like packrats! :lol

I watch and I really can't stand the Dad and Daughters. He needs to freaking bitch slap those girls instead of letting them walk all over him. If that was me, I would be absolutely embarrassed if I talked to my Dad that way. I'd be embarrassed for HIM because he stands there and takes it. No way would my Dad ignore that kind of disrespect. :lol
