First of all i want to thank everyone for all the kind thoughts and prayers..it means more to me than you know!!!!!

Lets see...Tuesday morning i woke up at 9 with contractions every 5 min..but since i've been in false labor 3 times prior to that i decided to wait to go in...well around noon i figured since they weren't letting up that this was it!!!! So i called my mom (who stayed back from her Italy trip for me..gotta love moms!!!) she got here around 12:30 and I went in!! I was there no longer than 20 min and they decided to keep me!! I finally dilated that 1/2 centimeter and hit a 4 (which is why they kept me...why they wouldn't do it a few days sooner so her daddy could've been there is beyond me) at around 1-1:30 they broke my water..hard contractions started so of course i requested my epidural..and thats where the nihtmare began....they did my epidural wrong it ended up numbing my entire body up to my face..i couldn't swallow, hardly talk,or move...i don't remember very much..all i remember was having a suction in my mouth and coming in and out of sleep..or whatever i was doing...I was told after the fact (today actualy the entire story) while i was tld i would be ok..i guess there was a really good chance that my heart would stop..so they had a crash cart near by and waiting..they made plans that if that happened they would put me on a breathing machine while they took Lilly by c-section...thank God that didn't happen!!!! Poor DH the last thing he heard from me till that was over was i can't breath..My mom told me later after she was born that he was crying the entire time till they said iw ould be ok..anyway by the time my upper body started getting feeling it was time to push...with 3 sets of pushes she was here, in all her chubby glory!! 9lbs 13oz 21 1/2 in. long!!!!! and to much my suprise i didn't tear!!!

I'm making a really good recovery so far!! Have a killer headache from the epidural crap that happened and i'm sore of course..and the occasional 15 minute breakdowns ( i really wish DH would've been here) there was no reason they couldn't induce me!!!!! she was obviously ready..but that's another thread!!! Anyway Lilly is a dream..hardly ever cries *knock on wood* Thanks again ladies for all the support..and sorry this got so long!!!!

Gosh the epidural thing is why I'm going to try like hell not to get one this time (the last 2 times it wasn't because of the pain it was because I was too tense and my labor was stalled). Epi's leave my legs dead for many hours afterwards and it makes me panic after a while not having any feeling or movement.

Grats on the healthy baby girl!

oh wow, this is really similar to my experience except the baby was in trouble, not me. so i cried when i read your story because i was imagining your hubby about to have a heartattack waiting to hear something. i am so thankful you are okay and your baby is healthy! :hugs

Congratulations!! Sorry about the epidural, stories like that are reasons I've never had one and never will (except for the c/s, I had a spinal for that lol)
