Where are all my proud band geeks? I was one of them....flute/piccolo.
I have been playing for 15 years, all through grade school, jr/sr high, and college.

So lets here it, where are ya?:D:D:D

I was definantly a band geek.

I played the Saxophone for 8 years...:giggle

It sucked going from Tennis to Bandcamp right back to Tennis practice :lol

I was flute/piccolo :)

6th grade all the way through senior year... marched in the marching band... was in concert band and wind ensemble

Vice president of band council senior year, section leader junior and senior year and band sweetheart senior year! :) :woohoo

Dated a trumpet all through junior and senior year too..

That would include me. I was clarinet. Played from 7th grade through my first 2 years of college. I haven't played in a few years, but I can still read music, so i guess we're doing good, right? LOL

My high school marching band, which I was a part of, was part of the inaugural parade for Bush's first inauguration.

I can still read music too!

Man, I have to get that thing out of it's case......

I was in colorguard/flags. I played percussion (quads) my junior year but switched to trombone my senior year because that is what the guy I liked play! :blush

Can't read music anymore! It's been 13 years since I looked at any! :(

We had what was called "Rambo" as well! GREAT cadence!! Love it!!! :) Kind of our war chant, theme, pep rally gold.. kwim! LOL!! Our drum line was freaking OUTSTANDING so I loved every ounce of marching and football season! LOVE IT!!! I miss it so much!

I hung out with the drummers too much (my best friend was a drummer) and I started drumming on my chest during the day! HAHA!!!

I played piano for years. And saxophone and a bit of drums. This is what it turned into...

Thats me playing drums in one of my old bands.

I played the trumpet in elementary school and middle school. In high school I was the color guard captain for 3 years.

I wasn't able to do color guard during my senior year because I was taking college courses as well. During junior and senior year, our band teacher made it mandatory to take band if you wanted to be in the color guard. I was able to do it my junior year but not my senior... =(

Oh yea. I was a supreme band geek. But oddly enough, being in band at my school was socially acceptable. :) I played tenor saxophone, worked my ass off to be lead in everything and I even did drum majoring. GEEK!

I'm an orch dork... but my DB was once a band geek.

We met in Jazz Band... he was a alto sax and I was the vocalist.

I played flute from 6th grade all the way to senior year. I was in pit (also known as the percussion that doesn't march) all in high school. I couldn't be in the actual marching band due to my cerebral palsy.

I only played flute for a year and gave it up... but I give MAD props to all the band geeks out there!! I love band :) should have kept with it!

Hey hey!!! I was in the colorguard for 5 years!!! Wooohooo!!! I loved it! If I could go back to high school and just do colorguard, I would. We were part of the marching band and went to awesome places that I wouldn't have gotten to see if I didn't join. I was on the weapon line my last two years of high school......and I still have my flag, rifle and saber.

I played sax and tenor sax. I was section leader junior and senior years. I haven't cracked open my sax in like 4 years. :lol The friends I keep up with the most from high school were all band geeks :teehee

I am not a geek but i was in Band! I was danceline for a year, drumline my senior year (quads), and pianist for Jazz Band. I have been playing piano now for 20 years, started when i was 6. I play classical, a little jazz, and mostly Christian music (church pianist). I supported myself through college playing for churches, weddings and other venues.

I have a great one that I'll scan in and post when I get home. It's me tossing my rifle!!
