I've never had it but i know that they provide free counseling services.

Yes. Are you enrolled in Tricare? Just call to find out the nearest counselor to you, have your PMD give your a referral (sometimes the acutal counselor can get you authorization from Tricare).

Yes!!! It's 100% covered by Tricare. It's billed as family therapy. :) You don't need a referral for the first 8 sessions. All you need to do is go onto the Tricare site and locate a marital counseling provider.

Search under Behavioral Health/Mental Heath as the specialty for a provider near you. :)

If you are enrolled in Tricare you are allowed up to 8 sessions before needing a referral (at least for Army) You can call tricare and they will give you a link... From there you will fill out the proper information and you can find a counselor in your area. Be careful and read all the fine print in the information that the counselor gives you... I just found out that my therapist charges $150/hr for emergency phone calls.... Good Luck finding one that will work for you and DH... :hug

you can also just call and make an appointment at the Family Service Center on your base for marital counseling and you get (i believe) 8 sessions there free...no tricare necessary. Tricare is used if you go out in local civilian town for counseling, good luck

If you want to get counseling through a Chaplain you can do that too.
