While DB may have money, my job stops when the school year lets out for summer, so I am a bit strapped for cash. What is your favorite inexpensive date? I googled some but I wanted to hear from you ladies as well. I'm trying to be creative, but we'll see how that turns out. :lol

How about a picnic? Hike? Stargazing? I've always wanted to do the "drive-in movie" where you put a projector in your garage and sit in the car watching a film...I don't have a projector though- I don't know if you can rent them either. If I lived where you do I'd be able to come up with better ideas. :)

Our favorite thing to do that is really inexpensive is we rent a movie, get some 98 cent candy from walmart. Put the couch in front of the tv and watch the movie together. It is something we like to do when we are strapped for cash. :wub

Watching a movie in your living room, popcorn, candles and the kids to bed....

Going for a walk in the park, followed by a picnic....

and mine and DH's favorite.... Sitting around the bonfire(before we had a yard we wold sit around the BBQ :giggle), roasting marshmallows, and having a drink... and just relaxing...

op...is it not possible for you to get a job just for the summer? usually there are lots to be found.

DH and I never like to spend money on dates, just once a year when it's our anniversary and we go all out. Movies at home, pizza, popcorn the works. Walks on the beach, laying in bed *talking* with nothing but candles going, bubble baths and candle light...anything to be with just US and not the kids works for us.

Find free events in your area during the summer. Many of the places i have been to have summer concerts and the like during the summer months and they are free. Take a picnic and enjoy! Hikes are wonderful also.

I love to go to the beach and sit and watch the waves. Go on a picnic, make hamburgers (well steak for me because I hamburger is no fun without bread) and chill outside w/ our dogs. Go for a walk through the neighborhood

Rent a movie (or watch one you have) and cuddle on the couch. Or one of my favorites is watch a favorite movie and have a picnic in your living room, clothes optional :D

I've applied to 6 or 7 places so far and no one is hiring. I kind of live in the boonies. :( I'm gonna keep trying though.

picnics are fun
sometimes DB and i "camp" in my backyard. we set up a tent and everything. it's our cheapo camping because we don't have to buy anything since we can just go inside if we need anything.
we go to the park and swing on the swings and people watch
we go to stores and window shop about things we want to get when we get married and get a house..... ok so we're lame. get over it. :giggle
ummm...... movies are always cheap, renting i mean.
we'll cook a meal together. that's fun.
ummm..... talking is always free.
and i liked what the other gal said about free stuff. my city has summer concerts too. it's nice.

I read that last part to DB and he decided you win :lol

These ideas are fantastic! Thank you ladies! Y'all are way more creative than I am. I don't know why I am bad at this. :P
