I did not know if the last thread was for this weekend or not??? Anyway....How are you all doing?

This board has been slow lately...I think a lot of our girls are back from grad and we have not had much 'new recruits' ( :lol) lately.

I have been good. Trying to get the house in order for while I am gone! I have to pack for me. Plus all the bags for my three kids while at Grandmas house! I probably shouldnt even be online right now. :teehee

I have had a good week. I am also packing for me and my three kids. We leave Wednesday for my husbands graduation at Fort Jackson and then we get to drive him to his AIT in VA. Hope you have a safe and great trip.:D

I'm good. I hear a lot of people got addresses from my DB's company, but nothing for us yet. (and I've been checking with his parents/grandparents too, they got nothing either.) It's frustrating writing letters and not being able to send them. (he's only been at OSUT for a week though. (ft benning)

Other than that I'm good. Memorial day at work has been crazy! (I'm a dog groomer, and everybody wants their dogs clean after they've been swimming in the lake!)

My hubby is at Ft Benning too!! He is in week 5 of his OSUT training (well, week 5 starting tomorrow!!) I am SO pumped because I got the info on his 36 hour pass and his graduation... his pass is the 28th-29th!! I am flying down the 27th and leaving the 30th... it will be expensive just for the weekend with the hotel and everything but I don't care!! I need to see him and he needs to see our son. I am going to book my flight this week, my mom is going to try and use her air miles to get me a ticket which will make things a tad less expnsive!! I need to reserve a rental car as well. I am so stinking excited!!

Anyway, he graduates August 1st, even that isn't too far away.

How excited are you Jen? I bet you can't wait to see your hubby!!! Question... I need to start looking for a ticket for his graduation too, should I book my flight to leave the day of his graduation? Like after the ceremony and stuff?

And yes... once again this is Rachel posting under Kayla's user name :D

It took forever for me to get my dh's (who is at osut at benning as well) first letter. I had so many letters ready to send by the time I got his addess. I think it made him happy to get all those letters.............especially in the beginning when it is so hard on them.

This week has gone by well. I've had a conversation (mainly consisting of "I love you baby" or "I miss you honey" many many times... yeah we both suck at real conversations) with DB every night. He looks well and seems happy... aside from his horrid eating habits. And I thought they were bad before. Oh goodness.

I met with his mother on Wednesday and we packed up a box of clothes to send to him for when he's allowed to wear civilian clothes. And... his family got a new dog (makes it at 5) to replace DB, because they need 6 males in the house. The puppy is an English Mastiff and sooooooo adorable.

And then, at dinner with all my neighbors this evening, my neighbor's boyfriend thaned me for waiting with her at the train station on Wednesday, well it was no problem since it was windy and cold and shoot, I wouldn't want to be out in that, so I waited with her and everything. And well, the train station is en route to DB's house. Anyway, my mom said that it was no problem, because I was only going to MY MOTHER-IN-LAW'S HOUSE.

Need I mention that we're not engaged. We're not married. AND the last time my neighbors asked if DB and I were getting married, BOTH my parents had near heart attacks?

XD

For me I had an ok week. It was DB's first week at AIT and they sent him to Texas instead or Missourri, Bummer, anyways I've had my ups and downs. I tried sending him his phone we got a new plan and phones but the holiday screwed me up he won't get it until tomorrow hopefully anyways. At least his bunk mates let him use their phones once in a while. But overall I'm ok. I have 5 1/2 weeks left yeah I can't wait. I'm hoping to spend the 4th of July with him but It might be iffy seems how he graduates on the 3rd. Pray for me that I do that would be so exciting.

Just got back from spending the weekend with my hunny. I had a ball. I am really loving that I live in driving distance from him because I am going back next weekend also. I do have to say my AIT wait isnt too bad. I mean I dont have him home with us but we talk hours everyday...I can drive down and spend the weekend. Not to mention, we email back and forth. I am going to have DH overload...LOL. That really makes these weeks go by really fast.

In the next week or so, we get our orders. I am stressing that. I wanna know darnit. Other than that nothing really new going on here. I am just prepping for him to get home. Since I didnt get him anything really big for basic grad, I decided to go and get him a nice gift after all this training is done....a big screen. I KNOW he will love that. Not too many men dont. Well ladies, Have a great week.

My dad talked like that his son in law this and that but my mom....She called him my boyfriend until we were married.

I think he would love the tv also. He will freak if he saw it when he walked in the house. I am all about the shock factor!!!! :D

It definitely does really stink sometimes but in the end it is all worth it!!

I had a good day today, simply because I got a reservation for a cabin at the campground on Ft Benning for hubby's graduation which means I only have to pay 38 dollars a night for those 2 nights!! I have to pay 95 a night for the 3 nights I am down there for his pass but whatever... at least I don't have to pay that much both times I go!!

Jen... I have oodles of questions for you when you get back!!
