As much as I don't wanna be seem in a bathing suit this summer, I'm gonna have to get one. I still have a belly and in some clothes, I still look preggo. I tried on some tankinis at Walmart and their selection sucked, which ended up making never want to wear a bathing suit again. I don't want a one piece (hate them with a passion) so I think I'm gonna get a tankini with some board shorts or something. Anyone have a website or a store or anything they can recommend for hiding extra baby flab? TIA!

I hate swimming in regular clothes, but I may just have to deal with going in shorts and a tank top until I feel better about my body.

okay! i just had a baby and was going threw the SAME thing! i still have 15-20lbs to lose. *lost 30* and it is alllll in my belly. i look preg! but the suits i found that looked best on me without making me look fat or to preg were the ones at 'motherhood' hope that helped.. and the fact that they are made to cover in those areas really helped me

you could always do a tank top and short shorts if your SUPER uncomfortable.

The year mine were born, I bought a suit from Victoria's Secret, they seemed to be the only ones that had a long enough top. I would try Kohl's too.

I got one that had lots of ruching on the front and it was a one piece and nice and low cut so I still felt sexy. Here's a link to mine:

I wish I knew the answer. I was on such a strict diet and intense exercise regimen after Liam so I could get back to work, so I never had the issue, but I would definitely agree with what some people have already said.

Jill has the right idea-the thought that a one-piece is "frumpy" or not sexy is outdated, there are thousands to choose from and the cut determines how the suit will look more than anything, though fabric can have a small impact. Most will be spandex to some degree, no getting around it. I do love the 40's style rompers and some of the newer tankinis for the length. Victoria's Secret does have a huge selection of tankinis even online, so you could try it on in the comfort of hme and return it if it doesn't work for you.

Have you thought of wearing a suit you like but with a sarong or wrap that can get wet?

I bought this one... I like it because it's classy, and modest. The sizes run small..

I have that suit, too, lefty:yes I have a collection of rompers like that. LOVE love LOVE. The fabric on that particular suit may be too clingy for some, but it's gorgeous and covers so I say go for it!

I've always had issues with tankinis not being long enough to cover everything. That was my issue at Walmart. I don't wanna have to wear a one that's huge just so it covers my whole belly and then have safety pins in the back. But we're going to Reno within the next couple of weeks, I'll try some other stores there. Thanks ladies.

I found one that I really want to get from Lands End, a little pricey for me, but worth it if you're going to get a lot of wear out of it.

The top, then they have matching bottoms or others that would coordinate too:

I have those issues ( 5 years later :giggle) i don't like tankinis because they cut you in half where you should be cut, and for me it makes me look worse. I think i will go with a retro style esther williams swimsuit. to hide my tummy area.

when my cousin was here, we hit the hot tub at our hotel in OR. she's a bigger girl but wears a bikini. the bottom is a skirt, ruched on the sides. she looked very nice in it. i was envious of how the skirt slenderized her hips.

i still wear the one i got when i was pregnant, it's from motherhood i think? it covers ALL my stomach and has the reg. bikini type bottom.
http://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?ViewSource=&Product_Id=19401582&category_Name=Tankini&Category_Id=1582&MasterCategory_Id=18

It's sort of similar to that one in the link, except its like a halter top kind of deal, it ties in the back and up at the neck and i don't look pregnant wearing, i just haven't gotten around to getting a new one :lmao
