Maybe you have to turn them off? I've been a jewel for a while so I don't remember if they automatically disappear or if I had to change it manually. :dunno

The ads are through google, rest assured they are safe. :tu I haven't clicked on it but you can see the link at the bottom of the ad, so if you enter that link into your browser address bar, you can go there without having to click on anything.

Yes i have looked at it alll day. And YES very annoying.

www.goodsearch.com/goodshop.aspx is what it links to which looks like all charities and ways that you can help support various foundations and such. :)

I don't see ad's I use firefox BUT I agree with Brandi that it appears to be a site that connects you with various charities and I don't find that to be offensive.

I saw it and was dismayed.

Someone pointed out in an earlier post that she was surprised to see that the Soldier in the pic is her DH! I guess they used a stock pic of him that he had taken.

Obviously mission accomplished though. The point of the ads is to make people click them and talk about them, that's how a business gains reputation and business. Looks like they did what they wanted to do! :D

Thanks Brandi- yeah I didn't click on it. When I first saw it I thought it was saying..."which would you choose, supporting a soldier or saving a puppy". That's a TOUGH decision...lol. Sorry if that makes me look bad but it's like saying which do you want, air or water. :giggle Now that I know it's a link for a bunch of charities that makes more sense. Now my question is...why not both...hehee. Thats my anwser to that question in the actual ad. :giggle

They need to word it differently. It seems like when you click it they will give you points as to why you should pick one of the other. I was afraid click it only to see something about how supporting the troops is killing puppies or something.

They changed to a different one on almost all of my pages. It now says something about troops versus the environment, then it has a banner at the bottom of the ads that says something like "Did you know that businesses that you buy through will donate to the charity of your choice" or something like that. Basically, they clarified more about who they are and what they do, and they changed the puppies to environment. I still get the puppy one every so often but it's mostly the environment one now.

I don't see ads anymore but I remember that one. I knew what it was for and what they meant but I did roll my eyes the first time I read it. The wording does make it sound like you have to choose between soldiers and puppies, which is kinda ridiculous.

I love being a jewel no more ads :woot lol so i don't notice anything. I did remember pre jewel when posts were about celebs or what not we would get lots of celeb google things or if it was about KFC or what not. :teehee

I was actually think it's not too far fetched that the people from that site would see these posts and take the opinions of their ads into consideration. So you never know, really. :lol

I'm pretty sure that google is taking over the world and has already implanted some sort of chip into all of us. We're followers, we have no choice now.
