So I got a call from my DH today. He is supposed to graduate from FT Jackson on June 27th. He is in the hospital.. he woke up with one leg swollen ..twice the size of the other.. and by the time he go to the hospital it was very purple. They are going to do some tests tomorrow. If they have to do surgery and if there is any muscle damage, then he will get discharged. There is a possibility it started with the blisters he was getting from the boots. Did anyone else go through this? I am so worried about him and wish I could be there with him and know what was going to happen...

oh gosh! i've never heard of that.
i'm sure it most likely could start from blisters.

i know this is NOT related, but my friend had a sore in her mouth, left it there untreated for a while, and later, she was puking everywhere with no signs as to why.
found out, the acid from the sore in her mouth was causing her severe stomach pains.

so, from that experience, i'm sure something as small as a blister could cause it.

i'll be thinking of your dh though. that's really rough. :hugs

Thank you everybody!! I got another call tonight and he does not need any surgery, so they don't have to worry about any muscle issues or bein discharged!!! The puprle is starting to go away, the swelling may take a little bit. they have him on antibiotics and they did an iodine scrub (ow). He will be out of training for about 5 more days.. so I don't know if he'll have to start bct all over, or just the start after the last phase he completed??? Thank you for the support!!

I'm so glad he is ok!! He shouldn't have to start over from the beginning, depending on what he missed he may just be able to make it up and stay with his current company, or go to a new company that is a week or 2 behind his current one :D

that would be so great if he gets to make it up! I know it would help him to stay with the guys that he started with!!

Definitely! My hubby missed WAY too much to make up, but if he had only missed a week (depending on what training he missed) they would have let him just stay with his company and make stuff up!
