You should be able to get his address from his recruiter. I honestly dont remember when I get my dh's address..about a week, maybe? Dh called me right after he got to bootcamp but we talked for like a second to let me know that he is safe. Then I think i didnt hear from him again for a while. Write him lots of letter as soon as you get his address. Hang in there sweetie!

i got my exs address like a week in and got a phone call (about ten seconds) the day he got there

you will get a phone call when he gets there, then you might hear from him one time before Battelsations (the last activity) and then you get one call after battelstation, but that call is nice and LONG!
you will get his address about a week or two after he has been gone, but you might get a letter from him before you get his address. :hugs

I went to DB's recruiter after he had been there for a week. Around that time, his mother got a canned letter saying "Thank you for having your son/daughter (please circle one & print name here) to join the US Navy"... which had a blurb at the end. It had the address in which we were to send letters to and how to address them, etc.
They aren't allowed to write the first Sunday... (I tried not to start climbing the walls... in tears every night, etc etc etc.) but after that, expect letters. Hopefully he knows how to string a line or two together at least enough to let you know he's alright.

DH had to call his MOM when he first got there- even though him and I were married, so don't expect a phone call when he gets there, that might go to his mom. (depressing, I know!)
If you can't get an address from his recruiter, expect it 2-3 weeks after he gets there (along with your very first letter!)

he will get his mailing address during proc. week, the first week he is there. You will get his address in about 2 weeks, and a letter soon after that(I strongly suggest writing to him as soon as you get his address- i made the mistake of waiting another week and that was the worst decision of my life.)
he will get a 10 second phone call as soon as he gets there, and it will be a "i'm here and okay" phone call, probably to his 'rents. Most likely, he might be able to call you once or twice during boot, so make sure your phone is always on, and wait for a weird area code number, it's probably him!!!! Don't worry sweetie, the time will fly by, and before you know it, you will be packing and getting ready to go see him at graduation. Hang in there hon, it's just the beginning, but so worth it in the end! We are all here for you. PM me if you need anything!

he's had a lay over in LA
next flight is direct to Chicago
He said he should be there
9:00pm I dont know if that is PST or chicago time

its ok though, my DF just went in May 20. I missed his call when he arrived at the base and I was so heartbroken. I have yet to recieve a call or letter, but hopefully I receive one this week. Do you know what school hes going to go to after he graduates?
