I just cried through the whole freaking hour and the end disgusted me and broke my little heart all at the same time. What a sick sick man Henry was. I won't say more because I know it doesn't air on Showtime until Sunday. (I watch a week early on Showtime on demand)

I agree he was a very bad king and person. My hubby watches this too. Is this the end of the series though?

I watched it early too...I didnt cry...She was truly not a good person and neither was he...But unfortunately if she had the power to do something to him, she would have or her family would have...

I like Jane...And if she didnt die, then I think he wouldnt have remarried.

I am assuming you are talking about Anne not being a good person. Are you saying Jane died? I thought he just had her sent out and away from the castle. Or is this for next weeks episode?

Like there were Catherine was an annullment, Anne was beheaded, Jane died, Anne of Cleves was annulled, Catherine Howard beheaded and Catherine Parr died? I was googling it and thats what I just read. sounds like he has a thing for Catherines LOL

Catherine Parr wasn't beheaded, she survived him, but only barely. If he would have lived a few more days she would have been beheaded :lol If you are really interested in the Tudors, check out Phillipa Gregory, she wrote "The Other Boleyn Girl" and several other books in a series about the Tudors (Elizabeth, Mary, and several of Henry's wives), they are all fictional. The only one I didn't like was The Virgin's Lover. I'm looking forward to her new book about Lady Jane Grey.

No, Catherine Parr ALMOST was arrested for treason fortunately for her the arrest warrant was dropped and one of her maids brought it to her. She became hysterical and Henry not knowing she had found out came to her and they talked because she knew how upset he was with her (because she would debate with him and he didn't like that basically) she was able to spin it around and save her life. She learned from her mistake and became much more meek when speaking with him.

Season three will air in 2009 not sure when I am guessing around the same time frame as when season 2 aired so spring time.

Anne Boylen was not a vile person she was a woman in a time where women were used as pawns by their families she had no choice but to do what it was her father wanted her to do. Jane's family was really no better. If the king wants you the king gets you, you can be his mistress or your family might have loftier goals for you and force you to go for more power and become queen. As a woman you would have to hold on for the ride and do what you could to try and keep yourself and any children you had safe. That was why the speech Elizabeth's Nanny maid to a maid in waiting was so important, for that time period it was very true and a woman had very little options in that life.

I just read a really good book about Lady Jane Grey (she is my mother's favorite Tudor) she had a really sad life.

She did live though...She did not die...

I did not like Anne...You can say she was just a pawn, but she was as calculating as her father and brother...She knew what she was doing.

what other choice did she have? women had zero rights at that time. If her father told her to secure the kings affections (keeping in mind that the king ALREADY wanted her so she was going to end up being at the very LEAST a mistress because you can not tell the king no it would mean destroying your whole family) what more could she have done? What could any of those women have done to change their situations? Henry was as unpredictable as the wind prone to rapid mood swings and out bursts of temper. All you could do as a women is hold on and hope that it would all end with you at least having your life.

You can see it that way, but I see her as calculating...I didnt care for her, nor did I care about her when I was in school LOL I think she was as bad as he was...

I knew that the last one would be heartbreaking so I put off watching it until this morning and I cried the whole damn time, too.

I hate Henry - I have for quite some time now - he's such a shitty, cheating little hypocrite.
Men, in all these years, havent' changed a damn bit.

I love the show but HATE him.

I wonder just how "in jeapordy" his acting career will be after all this is said and done.

I think he will be OK he is sexy after all LOL (just not to me anymore)

I am reading the Lady Elizabeth which is a historical fiction written by Tudor historian Alison Weir. Henry never ever forgot Anne Boylen and had conflicted feelings for and about her until he died. He had forbidden Elizabeth from attending Anna of Cleves and in his letter to her his reasons were she (A of C) was so far from who her mother was that he didn't want her to even see her and that she should not want too either.
