If you want to try things at home... peroxide gets alot of protein based stains out. Also, hairspray and water. Oh and Fantastc Oxy, I use it for everything. rosebud* 05-27-2008, 01:21 PM Folex works great for lots of mystery spots. vinegar does too. cheerkelly 05-27-2008, 02:09 PM I've had really good luck with Folex. I just tried it, and so far, I'm really liking it! rcwant2be 05-27-2008, 03:25 PM I have light tan carpet and have gotten some pretty dark spots out by using a spray foam cleaner by bissell that I got at dollar tree of all places. I spray it on let it set for a min or so and scrub with a damp sponge mop. Posted via Mobile Device Loretta 05-27-2008, 03:26 PM Folex. The ONLY thing it hasn't taken out for me was permanent marker(and it did lighten it quite a bit). It has taken out blood, motor oil, rust, boot polish, crayon... I have seen it at Kmart and Walmart. it comes in a white spray bottle with purple writing on the label. I think a bottle runs about $3. rosebud* 05-27-2008, 04:32 PM Can I get the Folex at any grocery store? I've never heard of it but I'm willing to try anything at this point. i've gotten it at Wal-Mart, lowes, home depot, i can't remember if i have seen it at a grocery store or not. I would also try vinegar too if you can't find Folex. it won't smell like vinegar forever once it dries the smell goes away. Lckychrmzz 05-28-2008, 10:02 AM You have no idea how much I love yall for posting and responding to this lol The previous owners I swear never cleaned what is now the nursery. Since they never cleaned it, the edges where the carpet meets the wall is almost black from dirt and god knows what. I tried steam cleaning it yesterday with no luck. I need to go to Lowes to get the outlet and light switch covers so I will look for the stuff mentioned. Thank you!! |
