So DB and I are trying to decide where to go to "get away" for a few days...long weekend I'm sure....we are in GA...near Savannah...anyone have any ideas of things you have done or places you have gone in GA or the states around us. I'm from here but some other opinions would be great...all I can think of is things I've already done lol. Something fun that doesn't cost two arms and three legs lol.

Sea Island is beautiful and relaxing. I haven't been there for a few years so I'm not sure what the prices are like now.

My DH was at Ft Stewart for 5 years . (He built a lot of the roads on and off base)
He always tells me about all the Stateparks and activities that used to happen.

Roanoke, the Lost Colony is pretty neat. And I think that Kittyhawk isn't to far either.

i spent a week on edisto island in SC...just a few hours from savannah. i almost drove down to savannah & didn't. i'm kicking myself for not doing it. anyways, edisto was very quiet and relaxing. for fun, i went up to charleston a couple times. it's about an hour south of charleston.
