My nephew is turning 3! :) His birthday party is the 1st and I have NO IDEA what to get for him. I know I could always ask his mom, but I'd rather try to pull this one off on my own, because I'm sure she'll be telling everyone in the family the same thing :lol
SOOOOOO, my question IS...what's a "favorite aunt ever" gift for a 3 year old boy?? :giggle

He loves Thomas the train - but he's got SOOOOO much Thomas stuff I'm afraid to get him a duplicate. I was thinking maybe something to encourage outside play, since it's that time of year :) I'm thinking $50-ish. His dad makes six figures so I guess I shouldn't be looking to outdo anyone. :lol

My kids loved simple things, like outdoor chalk, a little tykes slide, a ride on trike. When DS was 2 my parents got him this cheapy little trike at like the flea market, he wore that thing out, it had a little step in the back where he took his big sis on a ride.

Ethans 3rd birthday he loved firetrucks. He loved hotwheels. He is also artsy and got a desk to draw on and with crayons and such. Hmmmmmm
If you want outdoorish they have little stands and such that have waterplay or sandboxes. Maybe a racetrack and some cars for outside or does he have a fav sport? Some sports gear maybe.
water toys? Like a slip and slide or sprinkler:dunno

Thank you for all the tips ladies! :) It's a tough choice! I'm going to email his mom and see if he's got a bike helmet. I saw the cutest radio flyer scooters at ToysRUs last week.

Target has some musical instrument sets that come with several different plastic/metal instruments! I didn't check to make sure it's not made in THE BAD PLACE, but I thought they were cute last time I was there. They were about $40 in January!

My Ds is three and loves to copy daddy. We got him one of those lawn mowers that does the bubbles. He loves that thing. Something just like daddy. Otherwise we got him that wonder color paint set and it is nice for both kids and parents.
