View Full Version : Stupid pregnancy question
Lckychrmzz 05-27-2008, 07:36 PM Ok so I havent felt good for the last week. Like sore through, sinus pressure and headaches. Should I call to get an OB appointment for it or my regular doctor? Or do what I normally do when not pregnant.. drink a ton of OJ and eat a lot of garlic then suffer through it till it goes away lol
I'm now high risk due to asthma if that makes a difference in the answer. They still have me going every 4wks so I wont be seen again till June 18th when I'm 32wks. I'm on advair, claritin, and singular for allergies and asthma.
Carlye<3Sailor 05-27-2008, 07:38 PM :hugs Im not sure but wanted to say i hope ya feel better!!!!
FTCWifey 05-27-2008, 07:40 PM I never know who I should call either, and I have done this before. :lol I am going to say call your PCM though. Off topic, but you should be going to your OB every two weeks at this point, no? Even if I wasn't as jacked up as I am I would be starting my 2 week visits at 28 weeks.

Thank you. I sound so sexy with my voice going in and out. My poor husband is learning to decipher what I'm trying to say lol
reynswife 05-27-2008, 07:47 PM Because you are pregnant you should consult your OB. Anything after 20 weeks, definitely consult your OB.
I was told that my PCM won't even see me until such time that I'm released from the OB clinic, about 6 weeks after delivery.
Hope you feel better soon!

Thats what I thought but they told me no, not till after 34 weeks. It didnt make sense to me. What is even weirder is that I went from every 4wks to every 3 wks to every 2wks to every 4wks because of my asthma. The morons didnt even tell me I was high risk and scheduled me with a P.A then called me last week and said "oh we just noticed you are high risk so we need to reschedule you with an OB doctor". I (L) the Air Force hospital lol Tommy isnt so happy b/c they put me with the first guy I saw... who is young and HOT!!

ahhh ok. Thats what I thought but I didnt want to call and sound like a moron lol Thank you.
Kaymara 05-27-2008, 08:03 PM It varies. Call your ob and ask. When I was pregnant with Ethan it was ob for everything. My pcm would not see me pregnant. But with Ashley my ob wasnt allowed to see me for general stuff that wasnt pregnancy related. So I had to see my pcm when sick.
ilovekale 05-27-2008, 08:09 PM i would call your ob and then see what she/he thinks you should do. sounds like your asthma plays a lot in your issue...so i would def. make sure you see the correct doctor...she/he'd be able to tell you that.
instant_oatmeal 05-27-2008, 08:38 PM That was a question I was curious about too!! I hope you get it figured out!
see_jay_elle 05-27-2008, 09:06 PM I worry sometimes about who I should call, then always end up calling my OB. I agree that it is weird that your visits got moved back to every 4 weeks, especially being high risk. How fun to have a hot doctor though!
laurie007 05-27-2008, 09:18 PM i'd definately call the nurse line. the worse they can say is to call a regular doc! :goodluck

My DH never took his eyes off the guy and was glaring. It was hilarious. I was like "dude, the doctor isnt gonna hit on me... relax!"
