That things go faster once we've hit the 50% mark? Or is that just propaganda geared to try to make me feel better? :giggle :giggle Seriously... whats it like to go past 50% of the deployment?

It didn't seem to go any faster for me! In all honesty, this really hasn't been that bad of a deployment! We've had a few bumps here & there but it wasn't insanely awful!

Now what is going slow is the final week! :duh

Gosh, I'm not sure I'd be able to sleep the last week.

I can't! Which is why I am still up! I haven't been going to bed until 1am or so! But then again, I have been taking naps in the morning because I am beat & that probably doesn't help either! lol

I think the last half may be a bit easier because there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I definitely think the last half goes by faster. It's when you get to those last few weeks that time stands still.

I dunno--we got over that 50% mark a bit ago--and I still feel like screaming because it just drags...although I think it's starting to speed up again. It helps I have things to look forward to, and I keep tricking myself by saying "Oh, that's not too long 'till he gets home"

It still feels slow sometimes, but I feel much more hopeful and cheery than before 50% because the end is coming!!

I am past the 50% mark and it definitely seems faster than the first half of deployment. Then again I love summer and work has been extremely busy. I have a feeling the fall is going to drag.

Things didn't start to go fast for me until the last couple of weeks when I was busy getting everything ready and perfect for homecoming. Up until then it was just one day after another. The slower days were the ones where I had little to do and missed him more. The faster days were ones where I was busy and didn't even have time to stop and think. So I think it's a bunch of Bull. But that's me. Everyone deals differently. I may feel differently when I hit the 50% mark this time. Who knows, but it hasn't changed in past deployments.

With our first deployment after 50% I felt like I could breath easier because I knew that it was all downhill. With this one...post 50% it still feels a bit long :) But it does feel good....

This is my second deployment and mine is just starting but the last deployment the second half did go by way faster because at that time you can start planning a homecoming party or getting stuff done around the house. I can't wait until my halfway mark gets here...

:dunno I think we may be at the 50% mark now, but there's really no way of telling. That being said, May has flown by. Like.... :wowsers
