I feel kind of bad. Its my boyfriends 25th birthday today and I couldn't send him anything because he will be home from deployment in 2 weeks and the mail cut off date was in April. This is his second birthday in a row in Iraq. I really tried to be excited for him but he wasnt too thrilled at all. I bought him birthday presents that I will give him the day he gets here but its still not the same. I just cant wait to be with him again. Our day will come and soon!

Im sure him coming home to you will be enough for his birthday! I mean that is probably the best birthday present ever!! Don't feel bad! get him something really sweet when he comes home!

sweetie do not do NOT feel bad. after years of being a military wife, we have come to understand and now joke about this stuff. seriously. the military has no respect :giggle none, I'm laughing outloud typing this, :lmao cause it's such a joke here. no respect for *REAL* dates for birthdays, anniversarys, holidays, etc.

In fact, I clearly recall one year my birthday was on 2/23 instead of the normal 3/6. b/c that's when it had to be :lmao - so when that day rolled around the next time...it started the joke of hey hey where's my birthday cake?? You stinker, :spank
