cricketswife 05-28-2008, 07:19 PM do you like his movies?
i really do! i know a lot of people don't because of the twists and whatnot he does.
and i'm really excited about seeing The Happening!
too bad dh won't be back in time, but like hell i'm waiting for him to see this one!
Jennygirl 05-28-2008, 08:01 PM I think he is ODD...LOL but that being said, I do like some of his stuff...
This one reminds somewhat of I Am Legend.
airmanssweetie 05-28-2008, 08:02 PM I JUST saw the preview for that movie tonight on Sci-fi! I want to see it as well.
brentscrystal 05-28-2008, 08:26 PM I want to see this one as well! I really enjoy his movies...
froglove 05-28-2008, 08:28 PM I LOVE his movies! I love all the twists and turns and everything about his movies!
USCGBoxerMom 05-28-2008, 08:31 PM Ohh..that movie looks awesome! I can't wait to see it!!
USMCSGTsGirl1239 05-28-2008, 08:45 PM I love his movies... I would love to see the treatment that he had put together for the Indiana Jones movie :yes
brandewijn 05-28-2008, 08:53 PM I love his movies. I was surprised that he was SO young compared to so many other directors anyway. lol The only one I haven't cared for was Lady in the Water. That is the only movie I've ever walked out of. :( But I can't wait to see the new one.
cricketswife 05-28-2008, 09:09 PM I love his movies. I was surprised that he was SO young compared to so many other directors anyway. lol The only one I haven't cared for was Lady in the Water. That is the only movie I've ever walked out of. :( But I can't wait to see the new one.
yeah, i wasn't a huge fan of that one either. i think i fell asleep. lol
i just popped in The Village to get a little fix before The Happening comes out. lol
Becca 05-28-2008, 09:12 PM I like some of them, and I think there were two that were just too strange for me...but I can't remember which ones :lol
Mommy2Bailey 05-28-2008, 09:23 PM I love him
CAmom4721 05-28-2008, 09:46 PM I think he is kind of overrated and his movies have always left me unsatisfied with the endings. :shrug The new one doesn't look bad, but I am sure sick of seeing the commercials.
goldilockz 05-28-2008, 09:57 PM Most of them :yes
I wasn't a fan of The Village, but I STILL love Sixth Sense and I adored Unbreakable.
Valkyrie 05-28-2008, 10:04 PM I like his movies.
But he needs to stop trying to live up to The Sixth Sense, the twist ending worked because nobody knew it was coming, now it's a given.
charm586 05-28-2008, 10:06 PM yeah i didnt like lady in the water... i'm pumped about the happening though!!
future_army_wife 05-28-2008, 11:49 PM i liked all his movies except lady in the water, but im excited to see this one
sunshyne 05-28-2008, 11:50 PM I LOVE his movies! I love all the twists and turns and everything about his movies!
Me too :yes and I can't wait for the new one!
Berkley 05-28-2008, 11:52 PM Minus the village I like all of his movies! And I like the village until the end then I just get pissed..lol
By far one of my all time favorite directors. This one is going to be his most graphic so far. Has anyone watched the R-rated trailer? Creeeeepy.
rosebud* 05-29-2008, 11:44 AM I think that his movies are great!!! I half way figured out the village because in the theater the date on the grave said 1995 but the DVD it says 1895. something i guess they wound up fixing. so I had a feeling what the ending was going to be.
I think that he has such an imagination and it really makes me want to watch his movies.
Treysgirl 05-29-2008, 05:40 PM I love his movies!
cricketswife 05-29-2008, 11:03 PM By far one of my all time favorite directors. This one is going to be his most graphic so far. Has anyone watched the R-rated trailer? Creeeeepy.
i did see the r-rated trailer! it wouldn't work with my birthday. lol. so i used dh's. :lol makes me even more excited about it! now i just gotta find someone to go with me.
Aunt Sponge 05-29-2008, 11:43 PM The Sixth Sense was great.
But everything else was only 1/2 good - the endings on his other movies have all been a letdown.
And I hate to say it but 'Lady of the Water,' or whatever it's called, was a horrible movie.
He's a wonderful director and whatever else - but his movie-plots just fail with me.
Bryanna 05-29-2008, 11:49 PM I like him a lot, but his movies are too easy to figure out because they are basically the same. you KNOW there will be some crazy plot twist and what you DON'T expect will be what happens in the end.
For instance.. I figured out the ending to 'The Village' just watching the previews... I was sad that I was correct after watching the movies.
But I still love all the movies (that I have seen) and am excited about this new one! I agree that it kind of looks like 'I Am Legend' and even slightly kind of like 'Mist' but I still think it will be pretty good.
I just wish he would stop casting himself as lead roles...
Green~Mammy 05-30-2008, 12:03 AM I find him to be a very gifted storyteller one of my favorite movies written by him is from before he was even famous is called Wide Awake (did you know he also wrote the first Stuart Little movie LOL)
ily.mmw 05-30-2008, 12:04 AM The Sixth Sense was great.

i agree with you about the sixth sense but come on, what the heck was that ending for the village, seriously. it was dumb, period.
Larissa 05-30-2008, 12:09 AM I loved the sixth sense and lady in the water (which makes me a party of one in this thread lol), but I'm not familiar with his other works.Or if I am, I don't know they're by him.
pennylayne 05-30-2008, 12:10 AM looooove M night!! you know he does a cameo in all his movies? just like alfred hitchcock. I am sooooo looking forward to the happening. his first rated r movie!!
Bryanna 05-30-2008, 12:36 AM I loved the sixth sense and lady in the water (which makes me a party of one in this thread lol), but I'm not familiar with his other works.Or if I am, I don't know they're by him.
He wrote Lady in the Water, The village, Signs, Unbreakable, Stuart Little, The Sixth Sense, Wide Awake, and Praying With Anger
He directed and produced most of those as well.
looooove M night!! you know he does a cameo in all his movies? just like alfred hitchcock. I am sooooo looking forward to the happening. his first rated r movie!!
he does more than just cameo! He was Vick Ran in Lady in the Water, a main character... I actually hated that he was a main character... I'm glad it looks like he will be back to just cameos in The Happening because although he isn't a bad character, it takes me out of the movie because the whole time I think about how he is supposed to be in charge of the script, directing, and producing.... and that there are lots of other actors who could do just as well, if not better, than him. I like what he does behind the camera :giggle so I want him to focus on that!
querida06 05-30-2008, 02:29 AM I LOVE his movies! I love all the twists and turns and everything about his movies!
Ditto!:D
cricketswife 05-30-2008, 07:52 AM so what do you all think the twist is going to be in The Happening?
sailorprincess07 05-30-2008, 07:08 PM I love his movies, for the most part. He and I have the same bday too :giggle. I so want to see the happening, but idk I may wait to seeit with DH. I was totally freaked out by signs.
toxicpuree 06-02-2008, 12:32 PM I'm not a fan -.- it always seems that the movies go well for a while then all of a sudden something completely stupid happens that ruins the entire thing.
