I think he is ODD...LOL but that being said, I do like some of his stuff...

This one reminds somewhat of I Am Legend.

I love his movies. I was surprised that he was SO young compared to so many other directors anyway. lol The only one I haven't cared for was Lady in the Water. That is the only movie I've ever walked out of. :( But I can't wait to see the new one.

I think he is kind of overrated and his movies have always left me unsatisfied with the endings. :shrug The new one doesn't look bad, but I am sure sick of seeing the commercials.

Most of them :yes

I wasn't a fan of The Village, but I STILL love Sixth Sense and I adored Unbreakable.

I like his movies.

But he needs to stop trying to live up to The Sixth Sense, the twist ending worked because nobody knew it was coming, now it's a given.

By far one of my all time favorite directors. This one is going to be his most graphic so far. Has anyone watched the R-rated trailer? Creeeeepy.

I think that his movies are great!!! I half way figured out the village because in the theater the date on the grave said 1995 but the DVD it says 1895. something i guess they wound up fixing. so I had a feeling what the ending was going to be.
I think that he has such an imagination and it really makes me want to watch his movies.

The Sixth Sense was great.
But everything else was only 1/2 good - the endings on his other movies have all been a letdown.
And I hate to say it but 'Lady of the Water,' or whatever it's called, was a horrible movie.

He's a wonderful director and whatever else - but his movie-plots just fail with me.

I like him a lot, but his movies are too easy to figure out because they are basically the same. you KNOW there will be some crazy plot twist and what you DON'T expect will be what happens in the end.

For instance.. I figured out the ending to 'The Village' just watching the previews... I was sad that I was correct after watching the movies.

But I still love all the movies (that I have seen) and am excited about this new one! I agree that it kind of looks like 'I Am Legend' and even slightly kind of like 'Mist' but I still think it will be pretty good.

I just wish he would stop casting himself as lead roles...

i agree with you about the sixth sense but come on, what the heck was that ending for the village, seriously. it was dumb, period.

I loved the sixth sense and lady in the water (which makes me a party of one in this thread lol), but I'm not familiar with his other works.Or if I am, I don't know they're by him.

He wrote Lady in the Water, The village, Signs, Unbreakable, Stuart Little, The Sixth Sense, Wide Awake, and Praying With Anger
He directed and produced most of those as well.

he does more than just cameo! He was Vick Ran in Lady in the Water, a main character... I actually hated that he was a main character... I'm glad it looks like he will be back to just cameos in The Happening because although he isn't a bad character, it takes me out of the movie because the whole time I think about how he is supposed to be in charge of the script, directing, and producing.... and that there are lots of other actors who could do just as well, if not better, than him. I like what he does behind the camera :giggle so I want him to focus on that!

I'm not a fan -.- it always seems that the movies go well for a while then all of a sudden something completely stupid happens that ruins the entire thing.
