its not even jealousy for me its for DB(a little for me but mostly for him)
by the time he gets back 30 out of the last 36 months will have been spent in teh desert. i keep reading threads about others who are pondering being extended and thinking DB would do it because thats who he is but isnt it time he got some time at home...?

i just want this whole thing to be over
i want to go back to the world we had before the war. im so tired of thousands of people a month being torn apart from their loved ones because of the war.
ive worn a bracelet with a yellow ribbon on it since my first friend went to Iraq 6 years ago and i have yet to take it off the reason for that? i refuse to take it off until my last loved one comes home...and it has yet to happen. im just so tired. our country is tired.
there really is no point to this thread other then just to get all these random thoughts out :(

sometimes i feel the same way, especially when the deployments are shorter.
or when someone is suppose to be gone as long as df(15months) but they come home early for whatever reason.
we are having our r&r right at halfway and i feel like that is a freat time for us.


as far as being jealous i try to tell myself- there is nothing you can do about it, so getting upset isn't going to help, just make you feel down!

thanks Settles im not really too upset r and r is 9 months in ish so 6 months after should be easy it just seems like every other post is about homecoming or homecoming coming earlier or whatever. i know i cant do anything about it so i really try not to get upset about it. somedays jsut suck more then others.and i think since i dont have school or work this week im really dwelling on stupid stuff AND its been 10 days no comm so my brain is going crazy :S

its really good to here im not the only one. i didnt assume i was but the last two days have just been filled with crying and chocolate eating lol...which doesnt help thie r and r diet thing:P

aww i know it's hard for you kay. :hugs i mean, shit... you've had to deal with 2 diff kinds of deployments with 2 diff guys over the last 6 months and before that, dealing with a navy guy who worked all the time so he might as well have been on deployment. i can see how that's frustrating and confusing. just be grateful that you guys have only been "together" for about a month of his deployment - otherwise it would probably feel even longer!! you WILL MAKE IT THROUGH and he WILL BE HOME SOON :D just keep busy with school !! :hugehug

i know what you mean...I get upset sometimes when I see early homecoming posts...i of course am happy for the person, but it sucks because db is locked in for 15 months...there is noooo chance of him coming home early...so yea sometimes it is a little disheartening

In both sides and I'll tell you...either way it sucks. yeah, its great when they come home before others- but then when you're upset when they leave again, those girls are like screw you! you just saw yours! I haven't seen mine longer!

Just remember that we all need support and all are going through the same thing, regardless the time apart, we're all the same.

Keep your head up, it'll all be ok and you'll be back in your soilders arms soon.

Your feelings are so understandable. Even though I'm currently 'one of the lucky ones' because DB's homecoming is arriving shortly, he's Navy and he's not currently doing an IA in a desert - I'm still daunted (and occasionally overwhelmed) by the concept of deployments in general and the loneliness.

In the not too distant future, I roughly know of the next deployment he'll go on and it's length and even though that's his job, I really really wish he didn't have to go then. On a negative day, I'll stress for the future even though I'm going to see him shortly. Sometimes I think if I could keep him close by, my own happiness would be ensured.

I'm very sorry you're not having a good time these days. I hope things will soon turn around for you.
