So we're planning on going to the Grand Canyon in Sept when we go out there for a friend's wedding. It's only a couple hours away from where we'll be, so we figured why the hell not. A couple of our friends wanna go to so I had the bright idea of renting an RV so we don't have to take more then 1 vehicle and won't have to worry about hotels. After pricing some RVs, I'm not seeing how we're gonna be able to swing it. Even splitting it, we'll probably need at least $1500 and there's no way we'll be able to swing that between now and Sept. There goes that idea.

So I told Dh we might as well just go to the Grand Canyon when we leave her in Feb and hope the weather isn't bad.

The Grand Canyon is breathtaking to see it the first time. There are cabin type of rentals there (not sure about cost?) might want to check those out.

I hope we get to go too. I'm gonna be pissed if we're this close to it and we aren't able to go.

Have him check on base and see if he can get any hotel discounts so it wouldn't be that bad. I had my guy go through the base folks and he got a great deal on the hotel when we went to Orlando.
