Ok so I had made a post about the address and everything...Well..I just received a call from my DF's mom and step dad and they just received a letter type thing about graduation and stuff and then my DF was able to leave a comment. Well, turns out I was writing his whole address wrong but...his Div. Ok...this is how I was writing it...

SR (I wrote his name)
Base Division 252 Ship 0505
Then I wrote the rest of his address posted on the Great Lakes website...

Then after I posted something about a few days ago...I changed it to just
Ship 0505 Div 252

So then today...I received a call and got this address which is the correct address....

SR(His name) MI
Div 252 Ship 05
Recruit Training Command
And then the address on the Great Lakes site.

So after when I posted this message like about 2 hours ago...and got all those responses not to worry....now do you think I should worry or I should be fine? I mean...It's only a minor change...right?

it may take longer to get to him, but he will eventually get the letters. don't stress too much about it. If anything you would get them back to you.

Ok I was thinking that, but I wasn't to sure. Is Division like a squadron? I just talked to my dad who was in the Air Force back in the 70s, and he said as long as the Division was correct then I should be fine.

Hey, if you think about it...it wasn't wrong. Maybe they will just think you accidentally wrote 05 twice. I'm sure it will be fine. I had a similar problem a few weeks ago. I had sent out a letter with pictures in it and that day i got a letter from DB saying his address changed. He got the pictures so even though I had his address a little wrong he still got them. So your DF will get his too.

basically. Nothing you can do anyway since they are sent out already. make sure you number the letters so he knows how many there are and if there are any missing. :)

that's exactly what i did, i only got up to 59 because i started writing a little late.
