My friend has a "coffee date" every morning with another one of her friends. They can't get out of house to actually get together so they do it over the phone. They get their kids busy with something and just chat for 1/2 hour or so. It helps them both have much needed adult conversation, it saves on gas, money, and eliminates the headache of trying to deal with kids in a coffee shop.
