I was just curious if I'm the only one with a special present/toy/whatever on standby at all times :lol Anything from a new playdough kit to a craft bag to a My Little Pony. :dunno

I always have something stashed for DD...I don't use it as leverage generally, because if she knows I have a surprise for her I never hear the end of it :lol But when she's really good I like to surprise her with something as a positive reinforcement type of deal. My mom calls it my ace in the hole :giggle

I'm not above bribery...if I had to use it as bribery I would :lol But so far yet I haven't.

Well, the Leapster generally works to keep T quiet. Also, if they are perfect angels when we are shopping, I always buy them GummiSavers at the checkout.

Yes and no. I buy Christmas gifts for Tooters throughout the years as I get super good sales, so I have a stock of gifts out in the garage, but I have only pulled from the stash twice.

We do buy him a new Matchbox or Hot Wheels everytime we go to the store though. :roflmao :hehe He is a spoiled little turd.

Not really. Trent knows if he is good in the grocery store he will get a cookie from the deli.

We have a huge stash of toys that we rotate out...They're old and used but to the kids they're new.
So - one goes away, one new one comes out and the kids go bonkers and love it

I do this instead of buying new things because that's just expensive and this means just the same to them :)

Such a stash is great for unexpected power-outages, trips and special occasions that require kids to behave.

That is a great idea Becca! A cool toy waiting in the wings for when she is good. I bet since you do that as positive reinforcement you won't have to bribe her that much. :lol

actually, I do have some toys stashed away for a special reward. I usually don't like to reward my kids for good behavior because I think it something that is expected of them but if they were super duper good somewhere that was so boring then they might get something. I always tell them "good behavior gets good rewards" even if the reward is just someone saying how well mannered they were.

Her Snoedel for sure.

If we're out somewhere that has it, I swing by the aisle that has Leap Frog's Fridge Phonics and the alphabet song makes her smile without fail, too.

Right on :) I had a crayola art kit stashed up above the refrigerator - it's been there for about a week and a half - she spied it today when she was in the kitchen helping me put away groceries :giggle

BUSTED!! lol

I have a bag of toys that comes with that has crayons, markers, paper, craft things, small games, barbies, dolls that way they can sit and play quietly if we go somewhere. They call it the fun bag :lol

We do that every so often. Right now we're more so working on a chore chart for them cleaning thier rooms and Alex clearing the table at lunch (well Alex and Cameron.. Wyatt doesn't understand it yet) and when they fill up so many days with a sticker for doing their chores they get a little prize or treat... like we'll get them ice cream or let them pick out a cool new hotwheels. Those things are inexpensive so I thought they'd make good incentives :lol
