Mao 06-02-2008, 06:31 PM No, the rider still has to be on the horse. Jennygirl 06-02-2008, 06:33 PM Oh damn, now how fair is that LOL SIMMYBABEZ 06-02-2008, 06:36 PM :lmao Mao 06-02-2008, 06:38 PM :lol Jennygirl 06-02-2008, 07:34 PM If you go on you tube you can watch it from last year and there was a horse that was KICKIN butt and he lost his rider half way through LOL Mao 06-02-2008, 08:21 PM Yeah, it sucks when that happens. That's why they say it's anyone's race - noone ever knows whether the favourite will win or the horse at 100-1. Jennygirl 06-02-2008, 10:16 PM Does that ever get protested over there? Mao 06-03-2008, 05:39 AM It has been targeted in the past but not so much by protesters against horseracing. There was one famous incident at the Newmarket Derby in 1913 when a suffragette threw herself in front of the King's horse in protest for womens' rights. The Grand National has been targeted by terrorists (for eg. the IRA) previously as it's such a huge event. Protests against horseracing have always been discrete and peaceful at Aintree (from what I remember!) Jennygirl 06-03-2008, 10:16 PM Wow thats incredible! I thought that people would protest it, I am sure if we had a huge race like that here there would be some! |
