If you go on you tube you can watch it from last year and there was a horse that was KICKIN butt and he lost his rider half way through LOL

Yeah, it sucks when that happens. That's why they say it's anyone's race - noone ever knows whether the favourite will win or the horse at 100-1.

It has been targeted in the past but not so much by protesters against horseracing. There was one famous incident at the Newmarket Derby in 1913 when a suffragette threw herself in front of the King's horse in protest for womens' rights. The Grand National has been targeted by terrorists (for eg. the IRA) previously as it's such a huge event. Protests against horseracing have always been discrete and peaceful at Aintree (from what I remember!)

Wow thats incredible! I thought that people would protest it, I am sure if we had a huge race like that here there would be some!
