DB is coming home for r & r in the summer.... Coming from Aghanistan

He has his date for leaving Afghanistan and is told it can take a few days of travel.. I know everyone is different but, how much notice did you have as to when he was actually arriving home??

I'm told I just have to wait for his call from his last airport...Anyone have anything different happen? How long til you found out his ETA?


My job is a pain and is giving me limited time off..I'm trying to get the most out of it.

From what DB explained to me, its the same as you described. Once he gets to the US, he'll just have to find a flight home to our airport as soon as one is available. He said it should take a few days from the date he is scheduled to leave Iraq. Good luck! :)

last deployment...DH left late on saturday(from afghan) and was back to Lewis by 4 am on Monday!
