Okay, so DD is sick. She's thrown up a ton. I'm trying to get fluids in her but I think part of the problem she's having is her stomach is cramping because she can't keep anything down. She's asking for "cake" which obviously isn't going to happen. She's managed the middle of a piece of very soft french bread.

The doctor said no rich foods (no chicken noodle soup yet) etc. But DD won't eat/drink broth.

What do you think about jello? Would this be too rich or sweet? Any other suggestions (she's also lactose intolerant).

umm well, my mom always said when jack gets that sick (he hasnt yet) to make the jello for him to drink. I suppose you could try just a few bites and see how she does. Also toast might be good as well. (When she is allowed to try and eat)

Thank you! I wasn't sure if it would be too sweet. She is managing bread slowly. We're on day 3 now and she's barely kept anything down since Saturday so frankly I just want her to be able to get something to stay in her stomach so she can get a bit of energy back.
