So it is summer time now ... which means time for sunscreen. I have a 1 year old boy and well he has very fair skin very so i have been putting sunscreen on him since like march. I use the Coppertone water babies stuff, which i thought was suppose to be the best. So just about everytime i put it on him he ends up rubbing his eyes and getting it in his eyes then they turn red and puff up and his nose runs like crazy. Does this sound like an allergy to it or is this just what yhappens when it gets in there eyes? my other question is please if anyone knows of a good sunscreen that doesnt sting there eyes please let me know... if i dont find one its going to be a very very very long summer.

When we put on sunblock we just avoided the hands area. Just above the wrist and that seemed to work great for us. our DS is very light skinned also.

When my kids were babies I used the stick sunscreen on their faces. It doesn't run like the bottled stuff.

We used Bullfrog products and still do to this day. The Gel is awesome and it's quick drying and works great. It's completely sweat, rub and water proof too.

Exactly... bullfrog jel, and the coppertone stick. No lotions and no sprays my son would freak b/c he'd either rub it into his eyes, or sweat and get it in his eyes. Since we've switched to the el nd the stick, no issues .

I never could use waterbabies when I was little. I would get sunburnt to hell and back and I never put it on my children and just the other day my best friend put it on her babies at the beach and they got extremely sunburnt. there is this one kind that is GREAT and it even helps my sons severe eczema. I have alot on my mind right now and cant think of the name of it but it works extremely well. My son is very very white and he burns easily.

I always used sticks with SPF 50 or the sunscreen wipes.
