That was the BEST!!! sandykay 06-04-2008, 10:58 AM We have only been on one with the kids and that was to Hawaii. It was good, but would have like to stay longer and do more things. USNIwife 06-04-2008, 11:00 AM For my honeymoon, we went on Royal Caribbean! That was the BEST!!! I've been on various cruise lines, not Royal personally - but I would use them in the future. I've only heard positive things from those that have used them. MomWifeMe 06-04-2008, 11:03 AM I've been on various cruise lines, not Royal personally - but I would use them in the future. Went to New York City for 5 days. looks like it was LOTS of fun!! USNIwife 06-04-2008, 03:40 PM hmmm wait thought of a good idea. drive/fly to miami take the 3 day bahamas cruise those are cheap 250/300 a person. than drive up to orlando and go to disney world. you could get discounted tickets at the MWR and doublecheck at one point, they were letting Active Duty in for free (maybe a spouse?) and than extremely discounted tickets or something like that?! other than that, www.frommers.com or gate 1 travel are discount travel companies that come to mind. USNIwife 06-04-2008, 03:51 PM with your kids? Disneyland was rough with him, we'll wait until he is much older to take him back. I will be looking into those!!!! :hugs Dragonfly76 06-16-2008, 02:00 AM We went to my Dad's in Alabama. It was fantastic and sooooo relaxing. The pace was soooo nice. I remember flying back to San Diego and feeling the stress building again. Yeah, we need to go back soon. NewBeginnings 06-16-2008, 02:16 AM My first and last vacation with Josh to Disney after his deployment last fall. My mom and stepdad let us use their timeshare for 4 days in Orlando and paid to fly us there. We spent 4 days visiting all the Disney Parks. The picture in my siggy was taken the day we left FL to come back to VA. We were sitting out by the pool at our resort. salerine 06-22-2008, 12:45 PM My best vacation without the kids was Thailand. It was incredible! With the kids would have to be Cabo San Lucas. We had a blast! Now I am taking the kids to Guam in a week and this trip just might top Cabo. We will see! ArmyE'sGirl 06-22-2008, 12:51 PM Cedar Point Amusement Park in Ohio. We spent 4 days there, staying at a hotel on property. On one side of the hotel is Lake Erie with a nice sand beach, and on the other side is the back entrance into the park. It is lovely. The hotel is in the old Victorian style, complete with bell hops! We've gone twice so far and will definitely go back again. monkeyinabarrel 06-25-2008, 01:42 PM we dont have kids but iceland was awesome and beautiful and great to reconnect after a deployment. Laura48 06-25-2008, 01:48 PM Emma has only been on one real vacation and that was right after she turned 1. We went to Myrtle Beach with my ex :pukey She loved the beach. Are you looking for something soon without too much planning? Are you near Ohio? Kings Island has military tickets for $29.99. They have an awesome waterpark that is included in the price. You can do a day at the amusement park and a day at the waterpark. Kings Island has a resort on the proprty. Just a suggestion :) Rain. 06-25-2008, 01:49 PM We went to Sea World. It's the only vacation we've ever been on. So it wins by default LOL Ellen 06-25-2008, 01:50 PM We've only had one vacation with the kids (other than visiting family) - we went to Chicago two summers ago. We had a great time! proudnvywife01 06-25-2008, 01:53 PM It was a couple of weeks ago when we took the kids to Disneyland and SeaWorld. We all had so much fun! Although we won't be going back until DD is at least 52 inches tall and not as whiney. bailliesbags 07-01-2008, 11:45 PM I think the best with the kids would be to Garmisch-Partenkirschen, Germany. We stayed in the AFRC hotel there, but the one my kids talk about most was when we stayed in the cabins they have there. We hiked half way up a mountain, took a cable car to the top of the 2nd highest mtn, hiked to the Gorge, drove into Austria. |
