I almost gave away the surprise!!!! :eek

I've been avoiding my mom since DH and I decided to go home on July 1 instead of the 10th, not talking to her (almost) at all. My mom and I are VERY close, so the other day when she was going through her phone and realized my number wasn't even IN the incoming calls list, she got kind of upset and called me, asking if anything was wrong. I told her I'm pulling 40 hrs a week at work, which is actually true, and she accepted it (:whew)

Anyways, I already blew it for my dad and told him, so I could get him to take my mom out to dinner, or set up a way for DH and I to surprise her, but I was bummed as soon as I said it.

Tonight, though, I was talking to my mom and she said 17 days (the 10th through the 27th) wasn't enough for her, and that it would fly by, but she would take it! I said, "I can't WAIT to come home! Do you realize we only have SIXTEEN days to go?" Then it hit me and I was like, "NO WAIT...26 days. I'm looking at my countdown to July. I have countdowns to everything. 16 days until I can say, 'I'm going home this month'. I can't wait....26 days, Mom. Less than a month until we're home!!"

I almost gave it away!! :lmao

Good thing we're going home on the first, I don't know if I'd be able to find a cover if I said 21 days or something :rofl

:lol We suprised DH's parents when he came home for R&R! I told them we were gonna make a skype call to DH. I showed up, set up the computer, got them all involved and DH came in about 10 minutes after I did, snuck up behind them and said "Who you guys trying to connect to?"

The best part was my mom came along and took pictures! It was great!

We did that for New Years Eve awhile back. I called my mom (who was over at a huge party with all of our family members) to wish her a Happy New Year. I told her to hold on I would call her back because I was getting bad reception. We pulled up to the house, I walked in and said "Ah I can hear you MUCH better now, Happy New Year!" Everyone stared for a good 5 minutes before it finally sunk in :lol Then there were tons of hugs and tears -- good times!
