When we are in Europe I'll need the battery charger for my camera, hairdryer, straightener, and iPod wall charger.
Should I buy converters for the smaller things, and buy a hairdryer and straightener while I'm there? Does the px sell those with European plugs?
What would you recommend?

I personally would buy a dual voltage hair dryer here and then all you need is the plug adapter. We had a small PX that didn't carry straighteners but one of the larger ones may. You could always go to a German department store and get one though.
You should check your Ipod and camera. Many electronics can handle voltage up to 240 so all you need is the adapter plug.

Would something like this work?

Yep, that would do it!
Although the PX sells some kits that come together and will work anywhere in the word. They aren't badly priced. They also carry dual voltage hair dryers. Another option is REI. Their stuff is more expensive but lasts longer. AAA offices also have travel stuff.

I would say it depends on how long you are going to be here. The voltage is 220 in Germany and I think that is pretty much the same in all of Europe. Your iPod and camera can plug right in the the socket with an adapter. But the blow drier and flat iron won't wont until you have a converter.
