I love my job. I love the work that I do and I look forward to going to work each day. However, I feel that one of my colleagues is taking advantage of the fact that I'm the newbie. We have a set schedule and a target number of experiments to do each week. I reached my target on Wednesday, as I knew I was going to be busy with other (work-related) things for the rest of the week. My colleague approached me yesterday and told me that I now had a new set of experiments ready to go today and tomorrow. He then said he was done for the day and went home (at 2pm! :wow) Meanwhile, I'm left to work 10+ hour days in order to get everything done. I can't continue to work at this pace but I'm still in my probation period and don't want to cause problems this early.
